  • Remove the expansion tank and plastic lid on the motor.
  • Remove the probe to measure the oil level.
  • Remove coils with candles.
  • Disconnect ventilation hoses from the cover on the block head.
  • Remove the head by reloading six nuts.
  • In the design of the lid there are two sleeves installed in the rear. It is better to remove and put it separately.
  • Rotating a pulley fastening nut combine tags. One label is applied to the pulley, the second on the engine crankcase.
  • Remove the drive belt of additional aggregates.
  • Unscrew the nut and remove the crankshaft pulley.
  • Remove pump rollers and tensioner.
  • Remove 15 frontal cover bolts.
  • Remove the protective screen of the engine and unscrew another two cover bolts.
  • Remove the climate installation compressor.
  • Disconnect the cooling system hose in front of the engine. The hose must be drowning with a wooden wedge or bolt.
  • Remove the cover from the motor. The cover is centered on the block using two guide pins.

  • Check the gas distribution phases on the old chain. The key grooves of the main shaft must coincide with the label on the crankcase, the label on the double intermediate gear should be directed upwards. At the same time, the risks on the gears of camshaft must coincide with the risks on the casting head.
  • Remove the chain tension mechanisms.

  • Unscrew the bolts of the gear of the camshafts. To fix them from rotation there is a special Lyk with a turnkey hexagon.
  • Remove the gears and upper chain.

  • Remove the intermediate gear and main chain, as well as a gear with a crankshaft sock.
  • Install a new lower chain and drive gear back. At the same time on the chain there are links of blue and yellow. The blue link should be opposite the label on a double gear, and yellow - opposite the label of the main shaft of the J20A engine.
  • Put a new lower tensioner.
  • Mount the gears of camshaft and upper chain. The yellow mark of this chain should coincide with the mark on a double gear, and blue - with labels on the shafts.

  • Put a new top tensioner.
  • Lubricate the entire mechanism of engine oil.
  • Replace the shaft seal in the frontal lid and the rings of the candles in the valve lid.
  • Install the front cover on the new sealant.
  • Install a new gasket on and mounted it on the head.
  • Install all removed parts. In case of damage or loss of seals, the caps are replaced by them new.
