Mouse selection is always time consuming. Of course, users who need a manipulator for work or study will not agree with this. But gamers will definitely complain about something. Some do not want to spend a lot of time choosing, others complain that manufacturers are not expanding their assortment. Although the latter is debatable.
For several years now, manufacturers have been actively expanding their range, focusing on gaming devices. One develops a couple of models that players would like. And others in full "mend" manipulators, with whole lines and series. The latter can be said about A4TECH and its X7 mice.
About company
A4TECH is a Chinese private company that was founded in 1987. For 30 years, the manufacturer has been able to become popular in the segment of controllers. Most likely, this is due to the fact that its founder, Robert Cheng, immediately made a bet on the production of computer mice. When he achieved success in this field, he decided to increase the range.
Since the company is private, there is no internal information about it. It is not known how many owners and what their shares are in it. There is no information on profit and loss. Therefore, it is difficult to say exactly how successful the company is.
But this can be indicated by the sales data. In 2010, the company announced that it had sold 80 million devices in a year. In 2012 Russian market became the second in the number of products sold after the Chinese.
In addition to the X7 and other series computer mice, the manufacturer produces keyboards, webcams, speakers, headsets, gamer products and PC peripherals.
Game assortment
It should be noted right away that all X7 mice belong to the gaming segment, but not all of them really are. The situation is such that, in some respects, more budget models of this series can be office devices, since not all gamers are satisfied with the capabilities of the devices.
Nevertheless, the company began its production on the sly. Apparently, guided by the saying: "The quieter you go, the further you will be." It was decided to run the X-708 mouse for a trial. Users already then happily greeted the model and demanded to continue.
When A4TECH realized that gamers were delighted with the new product, they decided to release several of the same manipulators at once, but with changed parameters. The players liked this move, so it was decided to continue the game series.
First popularity
Since the market for gaming devices in 2008 was not very extensive, players chose from what was available. Therefore, the popularity has gained the middle price segment of this series. This includes models: 710, 718 and 750.
Each of them had several more modifications, which were supplemented by a letter index. Partly the mice were LED, partly already laser. The models differed among themselves in terms of maximum resolution, intermediate resolution, frame rate, processing speed and movement.
Their special "trick" was the appearance. They were very similar to each other, but painted in different colors... Many models from those "old" ones are still popular among users. Some X7 mice are already hard to find on the market. But this series does not lose hope of success, despite the updated Bloody line.
Mouse packaging
Each X7 computer mouse is packed in a branded box of the company. A4TECH is a company that was one of the first to pack its manipulators in large cardboard boxes with a plastic window, in which you could immediately see the model. Each package contains information about the device, new technologies, and basic parameters. There is also a photo of the mouse with an indication of the buttons and their functionality.
Almost every X7 mouse box contains a CD with drivers, software and documentation. Previously, an adapter from USB to PS / 2 was placed here, but now there is no such need, since all computers have a sufficient number of necessary connectors.
Depending on the model and its cost, the box may contain spare legs, weights, stickers and bonus game discs.
Appearance
The appearance of the mice of this series was also special. Compared to newer models, both from this company and from other manufacturers, the line stands out for its compact size. And looking at the mouse a few years later, you realize that for some gamers it generally seems to be "tiny".
The device is of the MF type. The developers deliberately went into conflict with the players, realizing that not all guys will appreciate the compactness of the manipulator. The company decides to expose the small size of the device as its advantage and indicates that the mouse can be moved with your fingers without using the palm of your hand.

Customization
As mentioned earlier, there are seven buttons on the device. One of them is under the wheel. Its function is to change the extension. On most models, this key is labeled with the appropriate DPI setting. There are devices in which when you press this button, the backlight changes - from bright green to gray. In some models, DPI changes can only be felt by the behavior of the cursor on the desktop.
It should be said right away that the extension can be different. Some models have it installed by default. For some, it will be difficult to get used to certain values. Therefore, it is recommended to find the extension of the old mouse and configure the new one in the same way.
The program for the X7 mouse is called Oscar. You can install it from a special disk that came with the kit or from the official website. When you open this utility, the main screen will display a mouse image and an indication of all the function keys on it.
On the left there will be a line "Installing an extension" and an indication of the number of the button on which this option is configured. Therefore, you will need to click on it. The settings window will open with the change of parameters. For office work, smaller parameters are indicated, for games - larger ones.
In the Oscar software for the X7 mouse, you can adjust the polling rate level. What does this parameter mean? Setting problems

Ergonomics and arrangement of elements
The ergonomics of the A4Tech X7 XL-750BH gaming mouse, as it should be, are implemented at a high level. All buttons have an excellent location, including the "Triple click" button, which has acquired a relief surface. The symmetrical shape of the body allows you to work with the mouse with both right and left hands, although it lies noticeably better in the right.
The upper part of the mouse is made of a single plate, combined with two standard keys. On both sides of the plate there are narrow inserts that visually separate the upper part of the mouse from the sides. You can also assign a macro command to a button, one of the keyboard keys, or a 16-in-1 multi-function button that uses gesture control.

Testing
To fully assess the capabilities of the A4Tech X7 XL-750BH gaming laser mouse, we conducted several standard tests to determine the positioning quality of the optical sensor as best as possible. To do this, we took turns trying to work with the mouse on surfaces such as: a pair of rugs (branded Verbatim and cork), a regular wooden table without any additional coating, a varnished table, a blank sheet of paper, as well as a mirror and glass.
The used laser sensor with a maximum sensitivity of up to 3600 dpi provides an ideal level of positioning on almost any surface, including those with a glossy finish. However, handle mirrored and glass surfaces this sensor is not capable, although hardly anyone will use the A4Tech X7 XL-750BH mouse on such surfaces, especially considering its directionality.
Working in a software environment

BMW and Rolls-Royce have been working on the project for several years, sources said.
