I became the owner of this car in August 2009, when I sold Smart and Subaru Impreza (see reviews). Before Corsa, I had the good fortune to drive a VAZ 2106 1991 (1.3, 63 forces), Renault Clio 2001 (1.4, 75 forces), Peugeot 307 2002 (1.6, 110 forces), Toyota Avensis 1999 ( 1.8, also about 110 forces), Subaru Impreza 2006 (2.0, 160 forces) and Smart Roadster 2003 (0.7, 82 - as a machine for fun). As you understand, there is something to compare with. For comparison, Selika and Subarik are most similar in terms of their characteristics, I will focus more on them.
So, the Opel Corsa OPC. 2008 release, 1.6 turbo, 192 forces, Arden Blue corporate color (blue metallic). It differs from the usual corso, in addition to the engine, with sports bumpers, sills, a spoiler, an exhaust (1 exhaust pipe in the center in an interesting edging), large discs (R17-18). The dynamics are quite decent. Perhaps, it will not be enough to chase a drag from a sports car (after all, the Corsa is not Sports car, and the usual, civilian, modified by the plant), but in order to move around the city dynamically enough, its capabilities are enough for a wave. According to its capabilities, it will drive around any car with an engine up to 2.5 liters (without a turbine), any SUV, some solid SUVs (this is from the OPC club, the guys, for example, chased with the Infiniti FX35, broke away and left). The moderately stiff suspension, on the Smart, for example, was much stiffer. Steers very well, rolls when cornering are small.
Inside, there is only enough space for the driver and passenger. Insanely comfortable seats, you fit in there and stay in place even on the steepest corners. It is inconvenient to climb back, there is not much space. Accommodates a maximum of 2 people. But, since the ceiling is high enough, they will not be particularly embarrassed. The trunk is small, for 1 medium-sized sports bag or for 2-3 packages from a hypermarket. It has compartments for a compressor and a first aid kit. Can be folded if desired backrest in a 40/60 ratio and get an almost flat floor, where, for example, I could load 4 R18 tires and a travel bag.
The visibility is sufficient at the front and mediocre at the rear. It is difficult to see something through the small rear window.
I bought a car in Moscow from a dealer, as I understand it, it was almost an exhibition model with a minimum mileage, very well-groomed, with almost all special stages for adequate money. I drove along the highway to St. Petersburg for 10 hours, a new car, I was not used to it yet, I didn’t drive. Very comfortable, no complaints, the back did not fall off after the trip. We drove together, the passenger survived the road just as well))
The cost of a new car now (end of 2009), if I'm not mistaken, is about 900,000 rubles (from the dealer's website), but the dealers' warehouses still have the remains of a car produced in early 2009 and they give good discounts(info again from the OPC club). In general, the cost of owning a car is not that high. Typically up to 70,000 mileage, with proper handling, serious problems will not be at all. Further it is not known yet, tk. at the moment, more than 60,000 have not been rolled yet by any Korsa OPC :)) An important point- do not turn off the engine immediately after stopping. Let the engine run for 2-3 minutes to allow the turbine to cool down. Or, as an option, put a turbo timer, but this pleasure is quite expensive, it is installed only together with the alarm. The price of the issue is about 15,000 rubles.
Like many cars, the OPC has its own childhood illnesses. Below I will describe the main ones.

In my opinion, only two points are global. First: this has already happened on two cars from the OPC club. Even with a minor side accident, when, for example, another car has got used to you, i.e. there are only scratches on the door, side airbags are deployed. But this is not only a problem of OPC, but of all new cars of the OPEL brand, since the same was observed on the new Astra. Second: quality paintwork... It's a paradox, but it's normal when, on a one-year-old car, paint begins to peel off at the junction of the wing and bumper, and in place of the mudguards, where most of the dirt from under the wheels flies, bare plastic generally remains. Everything is repainted under warranty, but an unpleasant residue remains.
Of the pleasant moments, I can single out the fact that CASCO is on this car not so expensive as a car is not considered a sports car. The same Impreza with a base 1.5-liter engine and 105 forces is estimated much more expensive.
