Design

The dashboard is like a Mini Cooper - a huge speedometer scale and a pair of arrows on the sides. The steering wheel resembles the rest of the Skoda line - the same was used on the Octavia, Fabia and other models.
The seats in the Citigo are close together. But sitting inside is quite comfortable - ergonomics are at a high level. The salon is assembled with high quality, although the finishing materials are sometimes frankly budgetary. The back row can accommodate two adult passengers. Moreover, they will not be constrained in free space. And all thanks to almost square roof, the bevel angle of which begins as much in the trunk area.

Chassis
The car has a simple suspension structure. An independent system with telescopic struts and coil springs is used at the front, a semi-independent "beam" at the back. Steering- rail complemented by an electromechanical amplifier. There are discs in front brakes, drums in the back. The suspension on the Skoda Sitigo is rather stiff. The suspension architecture is traditional for a subcompact class car: McPherson struts in front, a twisting beam in the back. Front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, electromechanical power steering and is activated if necessary, saving about 0.2 liters of fuel per hundred kilometers.

Despite the modest volume, two camshafts and modern system fuel supply allowed the engineers to squeeze out 60 and 75 horsepower at 5000 and 6200 rpm, respectively. The engine torque is the same - 75 Nm at 3000 rpm crankshaft per minute. Due to the simple and low-power units, the small car cannot boast of good dynamic performance. Acceleration to hundreds, on average, will take 13.5-14.4 seconds with a manual transmission and 14.9-16.7 seconds with a robot. But, thanks to its modest volume, the car is quite economical. The interior of the Czech small car is decorated mainly with budget materials, but it is cut with sufficient quality.
"Citigo" is a four-seater car, and the back sofa is more or less spacious even for two adult riders (however, on three-door versions, access to the second row is hampered by a narrow opening). The front seats have a minimum of adjustment, but a comfortable profile with integrated head restraints.

Depending on the modification, the car accelerates from standstill to 100 km / h after 13.2-15.3 seconds, accelerates to 160-171 km / h and “digests” about 4.3-4.7 liters of fuel for each mixed “hundred”.
The Skoda Citigo is based on Volkswagen's NSF front-wheel drive architecture with McPherson-type independent suspension at the front and a semi-independent system with an elastic cross member at the rear, and its body is three-quarters of high-strength steel grades (of which 8% are hot-formed).
The car is equipped with a rack and pinion steering complex, in which an electromechanical control amplifier is integrated. Ventilated brake discs are placed on the front wheels of the city car, and drum mechanisms on the rear wheels.
Options and prices. In the Czech Republic, the restyled Citigo is sold at a price of 197,900 kroons (~ 482 thousand rubles at the current exchange rate), but at Russian market the hatchback is not officially delivered.
In the "base" the car boasts: four airbags, ABS, ESP, two power windows, power steering, 14-inch steel wheels, on-board computer, audio preparation and some other equipment.
It should be noted that the Škoda Auto management does not see any “prospects” for this model and “its days are already numbered” - in the foreseeable future it will leave the assembly line without acquiring a successor (this was announced in June 2017 by the head of the company's global sales department - Peter Soltz).
