City car "Skoda Citigo": description, specifications, reviews. The smallest Skoda Options and prices

In large cities, parking problems are constantly relevant. How smaller car, the easier it is to find a place. Skoda Citigo- one of these instances. The car was presented in the fall of 2011 and belongs to the class of subcompact hatchbacks. Skoda Citigo is available with a three- or five-door body. The main competitors are Citroen C1, Fiat-500 and Peugeot 107. What is the Skoda Sitigo? Description, photo and specifications- further in our article.

Design

The exterior of this car is devoid of any expressive forms and lines that would catch the eye. At the front, the car has a simple bumper, almond-shaped optics and a compact hood that blends seamlessly into the windshield.

Nevertheless, the car looks pretty, and it's difficult to call it ugly. The wheel arches of the Skoda Citigo are able to fit 15-inch wheels. They look pretty impressive. Also note that in 2016 the model was restyled. Now the Skoda Sitigo looks like the photo below.

The design has been slightly modified, but the general lines remain the same. So, the changes affected the radiator grille, which vaguely resembles Rapidovskaya, and the hood. It has become more prominent. A wide air intake cavity appeared in the bumper. The fog lights have become rectangular and are located slightly lower than on the pre-styling version.

In general, motorists speak positively about their appearance. The machine does not stand out from the stream, but does not cause disgust either. Skoda Sitigo is the ideal car for the female half of humanity.

Dimensions (edit)

Skoda Sitigo belongs to the A-class, which is the most compact. The vehicle is 3.56 meters long, 1.65 meters wide and 1.48 meters high. As noted by reviews, "Skoda Citigo" is great for large cities. With it, you will not face the problem of finding a parking space. After all, the car takes up less than half of the space that a classic four-door sedan needs. Skoda Citigo's ground clearance is 14 centimeters. Due to the short wheelbase, the car seems to be quite tall. With this layout, the hatchback can easily move over large

Salon

If outwardly "Skoda" seems to be some kind of toy, the interior design is almost like that of a full-size sedan. Distantly, the interior design reminds us of Octavia or Rapid. The front panel has a combined finish. On the center console there is a large unit with a radio tape recorder and an air conditioner. The dashboard is like a Mini Cooper - a huge speedometer scale and a pair of arrows on the sides. The steering wheel resembles the rest of the Skoda line - the same was used on the Octavia, Fabia and other models.

The seats in the Citigo are close together. But sitting inside is quite comfortable - ergonomics are at a high level. The salon is assembled with high quality, although the finishing materials are sometimes frankly budgetary. The back row can accommodate two adult passengers. Moreover, they will not be constrained in free space. And all thanks to almost square roof, the bevel angle of which begins as much in the trunk area.

Trunk

The luggage compartment is designed for 250 liters. But the Skoda Sitigo is equipped with a transformable backrest... This allows the usable volume to be expanded, if required, to 959 liters. Under the floor there is a "dock" and a minimum set of tools. The trunk is narrow but very deep.

What are the technical characteristics of the Skoda Sitigo?

Further. Skoda has always provided a choice of powertrains for buyers. And even such a car was no exception. So, the line of power units consists of two gasoline engines. The first, with a volume of 998 cubic centimeters, develops a power of 60 Horse power... The torque of this "baby" is 95 Nm at three thousand revolutions.

In more expensive trim levels a 75 horsepower engine is available. What is most interesting, its working volume remained the same - 998 cubic centimeters. The torque of this unit is 95 Nm in the range from three to four thousand revolutions.

Both power plants equipped with phase shifters at the inlet, individual ignition coils, and also have multi-point injection. Skoda Citigo meets the Euro-5 environmental standard.

Transmission, dynamics, consumption

Depending on the configuration, the Skoda Sitigo is equipped with mechanical box gears at five speeds. Or a "robot" (not DSG) with the same number of stages and a single-plate clutch.

Acceleration to hundreds with the weakest engine takes 15.3 seconds. On the "robot" and with a 75-horsepower motor, this parameter is reduced to 13.2 seconds. The maximum speed is limited to 170 kilometers per hour. But driving a Skoda Sitigo over 80 is getting scary. The car does not hold the road and does not handle well at high speeds - the reviews say. What really pleases is the fuel consumption. It does not exceed 4.7 liters in the urban cycle. And this is on a gasoline engine.

Chassis

The car has a simple suspension structure. An independent system with telescopic struts and coil springs is used at the front, a semi-independent "beam" at the back. Steering- rail complemented by an electromechanical amplifier. There are discs in front brakes, drums in the back. The suspension on the Skoda Sitigo is rather stiff. The reason for this is not only its simplified scheme, but also its short base. Due to this, the car literally jumps on bumps. Riding it outside the city is simply uncomfortable.

Options and prices

Unfortunately, the city car "Skoda Sitigo" is not officially supplied to Russia. At home (in the Czech Republic) given hatchback available at a price of 200 thousand kroons. Translated into rubles, this is 530 thousand. V basic configuration car includes:

  • Four airbags.
  • Electric windows.
  • Power steering.
  • 14-inch stamped rims.
  • ABS system.
  • On-board computer and multimedia.

Conclusion

So, we found out what the Skoda Sitigo has technical characteristics, design and price. As the manufacturer himself notes, the car is not very popular even in Europe. And from 2018 the company plans to complete the serial production of the model. The car is notable for its high cost - at a similar price (about 600 thousand) you can already buy a four-door B-class sedan with at least good level equipment.

Replenishment in lineup new cars of 2017-2018, the updated city car Skoda Citigo - photo, price, configuration and technical characteristics of the surviving planned restyling of the Skoda Citigo. Having renewed itself in the image and likeness of its soplatform brother (presented in 2016 in Geneva), the Czech Citigo mini-hatchback will officially debut at the beginning of March 2017.

Sales of the new Skoda Sitigo with a tweaked appearance, increased in length compared to the body by 34 mm and a modernized interior will start in Europe in April-May this year at a price of 7700 euros (cost in the Czech Republic). Deliveries to Russia of the updated Skoda Citigo are not planned due to the lack of demand for European A-class cars.
I would like to note that Citigo has already been updated in the summer of 2016, but last year's restyling was so insignificant that it was not awarded our attention. An unscheduled update of the Czech baby turns out to be much more serious and interesting.

The Czech city car has got a more solid appearance and modern interior, while the car has increased in size. The increase, however, is observed only in the overall length of the body, which has increased by more than 3 centimeters, but the fact is.

  • External dimensions 2018-2019 Skoda Citigo bodies are 3597 mm long, 1645 mm wide, 1478 mm high, with a 2420 mm wheelbase and a ground clearance of 136 mm.

The Skoda design team, led by Jozef Kaban, has endowed the updated city car with a new bonnet with a characteristic relief, a tweaked grille, upgraded front and rear bumpers, new foglights that can illuminate bends and 15-inch light-alloy wheel rims with a new original pattern. As a bonus, the new body paint color is Kiwi Green. Headlamps with LED daytime running lights and tinted position lamps with LED filling are available for the Ambition equipment.

By the way, the new Skoda Citigo is the latest project by Skoda chief designer Josef Kaban. Taking part in the creation of the Bugatti Veyron supercar and working before moving to the Czech company in the exteriors department (all within), the designer moved to, and then, perhaps, will try to show his talent in.

The interior has also become more modern with new parts and equipment. The cabin has a new steering wheel, an upgraded instrument panel, climate control with a stylish and convenient control unit replaced the air conditioner, an upgraded Blues and Swing entertainment system with a 5-inch color touchscreen (aux-in, SD card, USB, Bluetooth, the ability to connect smartphones via OS iOS and Android), a 6-speaker speaker system, an umbrella under the front passenger seat, and plenty of storage space.
The Czech city car is equipped with an advanced electronic system safety City Safe Drive with automatic braking function (works at city speeds from 5 to 30 km / h).
Perhaps due to the increased overall length of the body, passengers on rear seats will be more comfortable. The useful volume of the trunk, however, has not changed and varies from 251 liters behind the backs of the second row to 951 liters when the rear seats are folded.

Specifications Skoda Citigo 2017-2018. In a tiny engine compartment installed 1.0-liter three-cylinder engines, two running on gasoline and one adapted to work on natural gas. In the company of motors 5 manual gearboxes (model MQ100) or robotic box gears with one clutch disc (SQ100).

  • An initial petrol 1.0 MPI (60 hp 95 Nm) in tandem with a 5 manual transmission accelerates the hatchback to 100 km / h in 14.4 seconds, a top speed of 162 km / h, fuel consumption will please, only 4.1 liters in combined mode.
  • A more powerful petrol 1.0 MPI (75 hp 95 Nm) paired with a 5-speed manual transmission provides acceleration dynamics from 0 to 100 km / h in 13.5 seconds, top speed is 173 km / h, and fuel consumption in mixed mode is also 4.1 liters.
  • The methane-powered G-TEC CNG 1.0 engine delivers a mountain (68 hp 95 Nm) paired with a 5 manual transmission and accelerates the mini-hatchback to the first hundred in 16.3 seconds, the maximum speed does not exceed 165 mph, natural gas consumption per 100 km paths 4.5 m3.

The suspension architecture is traditional for a subcompact class car: McPherson struts in front, a twisting beam in the back. Front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, electromechanical power steering and is activated if necessary, saving about 0.2 liters of fuel per hundred kilometers.
It's only a shame that the updated Skoda Citigo was left without a new three-cylinder turbocharged engine 1.0 TSI (90 hp 160 Nm) present under the hood new Volkswagen up. In a company with 5 manual transmissions, the engine fires a German city car up to 100 km / h in just 10.0 seconds, allows you to accelerate to maximum speed at 185 km / h, while being content with 4.4 liters of gasoline.

The car will be presented to Russian customers at the Moscow Motor Show in August 2012. Skoda Citigo offers an ergonomic interior and comfortable passenger seats. On the one hand, they are rational in choosing a car, and on the other, they make high demands on the quality, practicality, design and safety of the model of interest. Until now, Skoda has been unable to offer this consumer group a suitable model in the small car segment. Faland: “We see a growing demand for small cars that consume little fuel and are available for purchase and maintenance. Skoda's new compact car is a reaction to a growing trend. We are entering new territory for us, and Citigo will attract new customers to the brand in European markets. " A lot of attention has been paid to the security issue at Citigo. In that Skoda car For the first time, Head-Thorax side airbags were used to protect the driver and front passenger. Combined with other elements active safety, they form the exemplary safety package in their class. It has been significantly enhanced with the new City Safe Drive braking assistant. This system automatically activates at speeds over 30 km / h and monitors the risk of a collision using a laser sensor. Citigo is now, along with Volkswagen Up !, the only small car to offer an emergency braking function. The Citigo will be available with two new three-cylinder gasoline engines volume of 1 liter with a capacity of 60 hp. and 75 hp. In the economical Green Tec variant, the engines will consume an average of 4.2 liters and 4.3 liters per 100 km, respectively. Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions for a 60 hp engine. will amount to 4.5 l / 100 km. More powerful engine(75 hp) consumes 4.7 l / 100 km. The Russian premiere of Citigo is planned for the end of August 2012. It will take place within the framework of the Moscow Motor Show. Acceptance of orders will begin in September. Information on configurations and prices will be available closer to the start of sales.

The updated Skoda Citigo appeared before the world community in February 2017. In fact, the model is another minor facelift of the 2012 model. It will not be difficult to distinguish the new product from its predecessor. It has elongated, rounded headlights with large reflectors and eye-catching LED daytime running lights. The radiator grill is fully consistent with the corporate identity. It consists of many shaped vertically oriented ribs with a 3D effect and a chrome strip along the contour. Has changed the most front bumper... From now on, on it, in full length, flaunts a large air intake, covered with a mesh of elongated hexagonal cells. Also worth noting are the angular blocks. fog lights, completely repeating the design of older models. In general, the restyling went to the benefit of the car, it acquired a more interesting and memorable appearance.

Dimensions (edit)

Skoda Sitigo is a subcompact A-class hatchback. Its overall dimensions are: length 3597 mm, width 1645 mm, height 1478 mm, and a wheelbase of 2420 mm. The car's ground clearance is quite small - only 136 millimeters. So low ground clearance provides the machine with good stability and maneuverability, which is so necessary in urban operating conditions.

The trunk of a small car also cannot boast of spaciousness or spaciousness due to short overhangs and a small wheelbase. With the backs of the second row of seats raised, up to 251 liters of free space remains in the back. This volume is quite enough for the daily needs of a metropolitan resident, however, even a trip to the airport with several large suitcases can make the driver donate. seats in the cabin. If the backrests are folded down, up to 959 liters of usable space can be freed up.

Specifications

The hatchback received at its disposal two engines, robotic and mechanical variable transmissions, and also exclusively front-wheel drive... Thanks to a good set of alternative units, the car becomes quite versatile and is able to satisfy most of the needs of a city car enthusiast.

Despite the fact that there are two motors, both of them are modifications of an in-line three-cylinder gasoline atmospheric unit with a volume of 999 cubic centimeters. Despite the modest volume, two camshafts and modern system fuel supply allowed the engineers to squeeze out 60 and 75 horsepower at 5000 and 6200 rpm, respectively. The engine torque is the same - 75 Nm at 3000 rpm crankshaft per minute. Due to the simple and low-power units, the small car cannot boast of good dynamic performance. Acceleration to hundreds, on average, will take 13.5-14.4 seconds with a manual transmission and 14.9-16.7 seconds with a robot. But, thanks to its modest volume, the car is quite economical. Consumption Skoda fuel Citigo will be approximately 5.5 liters of gasoline per hundred at an urban pace of movement with frequent acceleration and braking, 3.8 liters on the highway and 4.4 liters of gasoline per hundred in mixed cycle movement.

Outcome

Skoda Sitigo is a representative of a fairly popular class of cars in Europe. She has a stylish and memorable design that perfectly emphasizes the character and personality of its owner. Such a car will look great both in the busy stream of megalopolises and on the winding streets of provincial cities. The subcompact hatchback (with a three- or five-door body) Skoda Citigo, which is the most compact model of the Czech automaker, was first presented to the world public in October 2011, but its official premiere took place only in March 2012 at the Geneva Motor Show.

In July 2016, the subcompact underwent modernization "according to an abbreviated program" (as a result of which it received slight modifications to the exterior and new equipment), and already in February 2017 it was updated for the second time - the exterior was more significantly transformed and the previously unavailable options were added again. ...

The appearance of the Skoda Citigo is devoid of defiant elements, however, excessive modesty is not inherent in it - in general, the hatchback looks cute, proportional and modern, regardless of the number of doors.

Neat lighting technology, faceted features of the hood, radiator grille and bumpers, expressive sidewalls and embossed outlines of wheel arches - the outside of the car is good, although far from original.

"Citigo" is a three- or five-door hatchback A-class according to the European classification and has the following dimensions: length - 3560 ~ 3563 mm, width - 1645 ~ 1650 mm, height - 1478 ~ 1480 mm. The center distance of the car is 2420 mm, and its clearance under the bottom reaches 136 ~ 144 mm.

Inside, the Skoda Citigo has quite an "adult" interior - a three-spoke steering wheel optimal sizes, a laconic instrument cluster with a large speedometer, a removable 5-inch screen of the entertainment and information complex and a very nice center console, decorated with three climate controllers and an audio system unit.

The interior of the Czech small car is decorated mainly with budget materials, but it is cut with sufficient quality.

"Citigo" is a four-seater car, and the back sofa is more or less spacious even for two adult riders (however, on three-door versions, access to the second row is hampered by a narrow opening). The front seats have a minimum of adjustment, but a comfortable profile with integrated head restraints.

For its class, the Skoda Citigo demonstrates a roomy trunk - narrow and deep. Its volume (depending on the number of doors) in the standard form is from 234 to 251 liters, and with a folded "gallery" - from 939 to 959 liters. The “Czech's” underground is occupied by a small “spare wheel” and a set of tools.

Specifications. Under the hood of the city car is a 1.0-liter (999 cubic centimeters) all-aluminum three-cylinder AE211 series engine with multi-point fuel delivery, 12 valves, individual ignition coils and phase shifters at the intake, which is offered in two power levels:

  • At base, it generates 60 horsepower at 5000-6000 rpm and 95 Nm of torque at 3000-4300 rpm.
  • The more powerful version is armed with 75 horses at 6200 rpm and 95 Nm of peak potential at 3000-4300 rpm.

Default power unit is installed together with 5-speed "mechanics" and leading front wheels, but as an option it relies on a 5-band "robot" with one clutch.

Depending on the modification, the car accelerates from standstill to 100 km / h after 13.2-15.3 seconds, accelerates to 160-171 km / h and “digests” about 4.3-4.7 liters of fuel for each mixed “hundred”.

The Skoda Citigo is based on Volkswagen's NSF front-wheel drive architecture with McPherson-type independent suspension at the front and a semi-independent system with an elastic cross member at the rear, and its body is three-quarters of high-strength steel grades (of which 8% are hot-formed).

The car is equipped with a rack and pinion steering complex, in which an electromechanical control amplifier is integrated. Ventilated brake discs are placed on the front wheels of the city car, and drum mechanisms on the rear wheels.

Options and prices. In the Czech Republic, the restyled Citigo is sold at a price of 197,900 kroons (~ 482 thousand rubles at the current exchange rate), but at Russian market the hatchback is not officially delivered.
In the "base" the car boasts: four airbags, ABS, ESP, two power windows, power steering, 14-inch steel wheels, on-board computer, audio preparation and some other equipment.

It should be noted that the Škoda Auto management does not see any “prospects” for this model and “its days are already numbered” - in the foreseeable future it will leave the assembly line without acquiring a successor (this was announced in June 2017 by the head of the company's global sales department - Peter Soltz).
