Classic model
The off-road vehicle UAZ 3163 Patriot was put into production at Ulyanovsk car factory in 2005. It became the successor to the UAZ 3160 and, which appeared in 1997 and 2000, respectively. Its main difference from previous models was the use of a large number of imported parts.
UAZ Patriot is equipped with European steering, braking, heating and air conditioning systems. In addition, the car has a Dymos gearbox (gearbox) and comfortable seats manufactured by the South Korean corporation DAWNSCO.
Some machines were equipped with imported diesel engine Iveco F1A, but later it was replaced by the domestic ZMZ 51432 engine, which meets higher environmental standards. All other details, including chassis, transfer case and axles remained domestic.
Thanks to the modernization, UAZ repairs on their own began to be required much less often. Despite this, the need for regular maintenance of the Patriot remains, since it is very difficult to find a reliable UAZ car service.
Diagnostic work

The lubrication control in the axles is carried out every 14,000 km, and the lubricant level in the gearbox and transfer case is checked after passing 200,000 km.

Changing the oil in the car

Tightening of the crankshaft and alternator pulleys is carried out only after running in. The brake fluid and hydraulic booster oil are replaced every 2 years. Antifreeze is changed every 3 years.
UAZ LLC guarantees the trouble-free operation of UAZ vehicles during normal operation and qualified service. Hidden defects that may be revealed during operation are eliminated under the manufacturer's warranty. If the defect relates to a case covered by the warranty, all spare parts and parts are installed by the Dealer's Service Center or an authorized service station of UAZ LLC (hereinafter ACC) free of charge.
The manufacturer's warranty applies to UAZ vehicles regardless of the place of purchase and affiliation of the trading organization. Responsibility for the repair and warranty service of UAZ Patriot, UAZ Hunter and UAZ Pickup is assigned to the official dealer of UAZ LLC or ACC.
The manufacturer's warranty is valid with the mandatory and timely performance of inspection (diagnostic) and routine maintenance at the ACC performing these works under an agreement with UAZ LLC.
Warranty period for cars:
- Warranty service for UAZ Patriot, UAZ Pickup is 36 months or 100,000 km, whichever comes first. The model range is subject to the terms of the Post-Warranty Service Support Program;
- Warranty service for UAZ Hunter - 12 months or 30,000 km, whichever comes first.
For all UAZ Patriot 2016 models model year a guarantee from through corrosion body parts for a period of 6 years or 130,000 thousand kilometers, whichever comes first, subject to regular body inspections in dealerships UAZ, in accordance with the provisions of the service book.

- Damage and malfunctions caused by violation of the rules for operating the vehicle, incl. neglect of routine maintenance, the use of a car in races, rallies and other sports events, the use of grades of fuel, oils or oils not recommended by the manufacturer filling liquids, the use of contaminated or low-quality grades of fuel, oils or refueling liquids, changes in the design or equipment of the vehicle, not agreed with UAZ LLC;
- Replacing parts subject to natural wear and tear, including drive belts, wiper blades, clutch disc, brake pads, disks, tires;
- Damage to the paintwork of the body and chassis parts resulting from external influences, including as a result of mechanical action of elements road surface(crushed stone, gravel, sand, etc.) and as a result of exposure to chemically active substances (salt, anti-icing agents, plant sap, etc.) atmospheric phenomena, waste products of birds and animals.

Seasonal maintenance of UAZ vehicles
The operation of a UAZ vehicle is also characterized by such a type of service as seasonal! The work required for seasonal maintenance is specified in the operating instructions for the UAZ vehicle. Seasonal maintenance is carried out 2 times a year - in spring and autumn and may or may not coincide with the next maintenance.
Maintenance of the UAZ car before the summer season of operation
1. Check the condition of the oil pump drive gears, after removing its cover.
2. Drain sediment from fuel tanks.
3. Check the operation of the wiper and washer. Eliminate faults
4. Change the oils in the units for summer (all-season) grades, prudently with the lubrication table
5. Flush the cooling system
6. Put the valve for heating the working mixture of the gas pipeline in the "summer" position
Maintenance of the UAZ car before the winter season of operation
1. Check the density of the liquid in the engine cooling system and, if necessary, bring it to normal (1.075-1.085 g / cm3 at 20 degrees C)
2. When filling the washer reservoir with an anti-freeze liquid, drain the water
3. Check the operation of the body heating and ventilation system. Eliminate malfunctions.
4. Before winter season operation (or after 20,000 km of run) flush fuel tanks
5. Replace the chassis in the units with winter grades provided for in the lubrication table.
6. Set the gas pipeline working mixture heating flap to the "winter" position
7. Check the operation of the blinds. Eliminate the malfunction, lubricate the draft.
8. Close the oil cooler valve.
The scope of maintenance includes control and diagnostic, fastening, lubrication, adjusting, electrical and other work performed without disassembling the units and removing individual nodes from the car.
According to the frequency, volume and labor intensity of the work performed, maintenance is divided into the following types:

- Externally, check the completeness of the car, the condition of the body (cab) and platform, glass, rear-view mirrors, tail, license plates, paint, door locks, frame, springs, shock absorbers, wheels and tires.
Inspect the parking area and make sure there are no leaks of fuel, oil, coolant and brake fluid.
Eliminate the detected faults, bring the amount of coolant, oil, fuel and brake fluid to normal. - Check the operation of lighting devices, light and sound alarms, and a wiper.
- Verify free run steering wheel and the condition of the brakes.
- Check the oil level in the engine crankcase. When storing the car without a garage in the cold season, after finishing work on the line, drain the water from the cooling system.
- In warm seasons, fill the windshield washer reservoir with water.
- If the car was operated in extremely dusty conditions or overcame fords and road sections filled with liquid mud, replace or clean the filter element of the engine air filter.
- After driving, wash the vehicle if it has been operated on muddy or dusty roads.
- Carry out the work stipulated by the SW.
- Check and, if necessary, adjust the clutch pedal free play.
- Check the free play of the steering wheel, the clearances in the joints of the steering rods, in the pivot joints; check the cotter pin nuts of the ball pins, the fastening of the lever steering knuckle, ball pins, ball bearings to the axle shaft casings, rudder bipod, tightening the end attachment nuts and eliminate the detected faults.
- Check the amount of free and working strokes of the brake pedal; if necessary, adjust the brake and its drive.
- Check the fastening of the front exhaust pipe and its suspension.
- Check the fastening of the wheels, the condition of the tires and the air pressure in them, if necessary, pump air.
- Check the fastening of the gearbox control drives, the transfer case and, if necessary, tighten the screw connections.
- Check the fastening of the flanges of the front and rear propeller shafts to the flanges of the shafts transfer case and tighten the mount if necessary.
- Clean the battery from dirt; clean the ventilation holes in the plugs; check the electrolyte level and top up with distilled water if necessary.
- Check fan belt tension and alternator attachment.
- Follow all the instructions in the lubrication table provided for TO-1.
- Perform the work stipulated by TO-1.
- Check clutch function and clutch pedal free play. Adjust the clutch control drive if necessary.
- Check and, if necessary, adjust the clearances between the rocker arms and the valves.
- Check the fastening of the engine, engine oil sump, upper and lower clutch housing.
- Check the fastening of the radiator and its lining, blinds, spacer rods.
- By inspection, check the tightness of the cooling system, serviceability and fastening of the cooling system pump and fan, condition, fan belt.
- Clean the generator and starter from dirt and oil and check the condition of the manifold and starter brushes. If necessary, blow out the cavity of the generator and starter with compressed air and check their attachment. Adjust the fan belt tension.
- Check the fastening of the inlet and outlet pipes.
- Clean the surface of the spark plugs, ignition coil of the distributor sensor and high voltage wires from dirt and oil. Check the condition of the wires high and low voltage... Remove spark plugs and check condition. If necessary, clean the electrodes and adjust the gap between them.
- Check the state of charge battery by the voltage of the elements under load. Remove the battery for recharging if necessary. Check the fastening of the battery in the socket.
- Check carburetor attachment and fuel pump, troubleshoot. Adjust the idling speed of the crankshaft.
- Check the attachment of the crankcase and steering gear bipod.
- Check and, if necessary, adjust the engagement of the worm and the steering wheel roller.
- Check the amount of toe-in of the front wheels, adjust if necessary.
- Check the drive and action parking brake... If necessary, remove the drum, check the wear of the brake linings, disassemble, wash and lubricate the expanding and adjusting mechanisms.
- Check the condition of the frame, springs, spring cushions, cups, clamps and shock absorbers by inspection. Eliminate faults if necessary. Rivet loose rivets of cups and spring clamps.
- Check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel hub bearings.
- Remove brake drums and clean brakes. Check the condition of the brake drums, pads, linings and the fastening of the brake shields.
- Check the condition of the pipelines brake system and brake cylinders.
- Install the brake drums and adjust the clearances between brake drums and pads.
- Check the fastening of the drive flanges of the hubs and flanges of the axle shafts.
- Check the fastening of the bearing caps of the drive gears of the front and rear axles.
- Check the attachment of the gearbox to the clutch housing and the transfer case to the gearbox.
- Check the clearances in the bearings of the drive pinion of the main drive of the front and rear axles and, if any, eliminate.

- Clear air filter and its filter element against dust and dirt. Wash the flame arrestor mesh inside the filter cover with kerosene. Replace the filter element with a new one after each TO-2.
- Follow all instructions in the lubrication table.
Seasonal maintenance is carried out twice a year - in spring and autumn and, if possible, is combined with the next TO-2. In the transition to the winter or summer season of operation, the scope of work for TO-2 shall be supplemented with the following operations:
Before the summer season of operation
- Set the gas pipeline working mixture heating flap to the "summer" position.
- Drain sediment from fuel tanks.
- Remove the heater and wiper motors, check the condition of the collector and brushes, wash and lubricate the bearings.
- Flush the cooling system.
- Replace the oils in the units with summer grades provided for in the lubrication table.
Before the winter season of operation
- Set the gas pipeline working mixture heating flap to the "winter" position.
- Flush fuel tanks and fuel filters.
- Replace the oils in the units with winter grades provided for in the lubrication table.
- Prepare the starting engine heater for operation (if installed).
- Check the operation of the heating and ventilation system of the body (cab).
- Check the operation of the blinds. Eliminate malfunctions and lubricate the draft.
- Rinse or replace the air filter vacuum booster brakes.

Since upon a more detailed study of the work orders from Sofit, I suddenly realized that on the TO-0 I made, the oil was changed only in rear axle... It was already six months ago, so it’s difficult to say what exactly happened: either I said something wrong, or we did not understand each other with the master-receiver.
Thus, you first need to purchase oil for the internal combustion engine and front axle.
Since the last oil change, I still have about 3 liters of oil for the internal combustion engine, so I bought one canister of Lukoil with a volume of 4 liters for the engine:

Like last time, I buy oil at a Lukoil gas station, where, as I also mentioned earlier, the chance of stumbling upon a fake is minimal.
I made an appointment at the service station the next day.
During the routine inspection, the foreman revealed some deterioration drive belt generator. We have heard a lot about this feature of factory parts, so I agreed with the master's recommendation to replace the belt. A reduced coolant level was also noticed. This misunderstanding was also corrected.
All the work took about 4 hours, not counting the car wash, therefore, my recommendation: you should take care of your leisure time in advance during the maintenance work.
In total, according to the works and materials of the service station, cost of TO-1 amounted to 7343 rubles. If you take into account the oil I bought, then this is another two thousand rubles. That is, in the end: ~ 9400 rubles.
