Merits of the crew of "Bystry"

[~ DETAIL_TEXT] =>

The destroyer ship "Bystry" was built at the Zhdanov shipyard (SSZ) according to project 956 "Sarych".

In October 1989, the destroyer was adopted by the Soviet Navy. Currently, it is in the reserve of the 1st category of the Pacific Fleet (PF), but remains an unchanged participant in all types of exercises.

Per excellent performance in combat training, the destroyer crew was repeatedly encouraged by the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy.

How did new class ship - destroyer

At the end of the 19th century, a new weapon appeared - torpedoes (self-propelled mines). This forced the military to take care of the means of dealing with them and their carriers.

Such a means became a universal high-speed ship, called "destroyer". Its task was to patrol the country's maritime borders in order to counteract enemy aircraft, submarines (submarines) and surface ships.

The destroyer is capable of acting not only alone, but also as part of a squadron. This feature is reflected in its additional name - "squadron".

For a long time the destroyer was the most "popular" warship in the world, but today, in times of crisis, the cost of its construction significantly affects the number of ships of this class produced. They began to be built less frequently.

Currently, the world fleet has about two hundred destroyers. At the same time, the US Navy has the largest number - 55 units, and also about twenty destroyers are at the US construction shipyards.

Great Britain has lost its former glory of the ruler of the seas and has 8 ships of this class.

The Russian Navy has six destroyers, of which three are part of the Pacific Fleet. The crew of the Bystry destroyer is a worthy representative of the Russian navy in the Pacific Ocean.

Project 956 "Sarych" of the USSR Navy

The destroyers of the Sarych project were built at the Leningrad Shipyard No. 190 named after Zhdanov (today - Severnaya Verf). It was planned to launch twenty units of warships. However, the collapse of the Soviet Union and the financial crisis that broke out in 1992 thwarted the plans of the Navy and shipbuilders. As a result, the completion of the previously laid down ships stopped, new destroyers were no longer laid down.

The only exceptions were orders from China. In the period from 1997 to 2000, the construction of two buildings of Project 956-E was completed by order of the Chinese Navy. Later, an order from China was fulfilled for the construction of two more ships, but already under the export project 956-EM.

The construction of the Bystry destroyer was also carried out according to Project 956 Sarych (Sovremenny class destroyer, according to NATO classification).

"Fast" project "Sarych"

The Bystry destroyer is the 11th destroyer out of the twenty Sarych Project ships planned for the USSR Navy.

It was laid down at Shipyard No. 190 named after Zhdanov at the end of October 1985 under building number 871. It left the stocks in 1987, at the end of November.

During this period, the Bystry destroyer was part of the 13th brigade of naval ships under construction and being repaired.

At the beginning of autumn 1989 (August-September) passed running and state tests. At the time of passing the tests, he was listed in the 76th brigade of missile ships, based in Liepaja.

After successfully passing the tests, "Bystry" was adopted by the Navy under the number 676.

Subsequently, the number changed twice more: from 1991 to 1993 - № 786, from 1993 to the present - № 715).

At the end of October of the same year, the destroyer was commissioned into the Soviet Navy.

The main characteristics of the destroyer

The Bystry destroyer (11th Project 956 Sarych destroyer) has a standard displacement of 6,500 tons and a total displacement of 7,904 tons. The ship's maximum length and width are 156.5 m and 17.2 m, respectively.

The destroyer's movement is provided by two GTZA-674 units with a total capacity of 100 thous. Horse power using two five-blade screws.

The GTZA-674 power units provide the destroyer's maximum travel speed of 33.4 knots. The area of action depends on its regime and the provision of energy resources, that is, the running speed and fuel supply.

At maximum speed, the cruising range is 1,345 miles, and when sailing in economy mode (18.4 knots) this distance is 3920 miles.

With fuel overload, the ship can reach a target 4500 miles away.

The duration of the autonomous cruise of the destroyer "Fast" can be up to 30 days.

Armament of the destroyer "Bystry"

The destroyer's versatility is confirmed by its armament.

The ship is equipped with artillery, including anti-aircraft. The artillery complex includes two twin AK-130/54 artillery mounts for 2000 rounds, four six-barreled 30-mm anti-aircraft artillery mounts AK-630 for 12 thousand rounds.

The missile armament of the Bystry destroyer consists of two launchers of P-270 Mosquito anti-aircraft missiles and two Uragan anti-aircraft missile systems for 48 launches.

To counteract enemy submarines and torpedoes, "Bystry" is equipped with two six-barreled RBU-1000 (rocket-bombers) "Smerch", as well as mine and torpedo weapons.

The ship's mine-torpedo armament is represented by two torpedo tubes with four 533 mm SET-65 anti-submarine electric torpedoes. A feature of torpedoes is their ability to homing at an underwater target.

The ship also has a Ka-27 helicopter on board, which is used for reconnaissance purposes.

Radio-technical armament of "Bystry" A modern ship without radio-technical armament is helpless and blind. The Bystry-715 destroyer is equipped with MR-710, MR-710-1, MR-750 radar stations. Their viewing range is 145 km.

Radars allow you to monitor the air and surface situation, while detecting even small targets.

For over-the-horizon target designation (up to 200 km), the KRS-27 radar is used, which is part of the Most system.

In the service of the Motherland

In 1989, the 175th brigade of missile ships of the Pacific Fleet was replenished with the Bystry destroyer (Project 956). From that time on, his service began on the eastern borders of the country.

In mid-June 1990, the destroyer was assigned to the permanent readiness force. In the same month, the ship's crew first took part in an exercise in the Baltic Sea. At the end of the exercise, the ship arrived in Tallinn, where it was visited by over a hundred foreign attachés.

On September 15, "Fast" set off on its way back home to the Pacific Fleet. The transition took about two months.

Already in mid-December 1990, the destroyer crew was again on the exercises - took part in tests of submarines in the waters of the Sea of Japan.

Summing up the results of 1990 showed that the ship is the best in combat training in terms of the use of nuclear weapons.

In the spring of 1991, the destroyer is again on exercises. This time "Bystry" defended the Pacific Fleet ships from attacks by "enemy" aircraft and submarines.

In August of the same year, "Bystry" took part in joint exercises in the Sea of Japan. Observers from 8 countries followed the actions of the crew.

By the end of 1991, the crew of the "Bystry" won 1st place in the results of artillery fire among ships of the 1st rank.

In subsequent years, up to December 1998, "Bystry" took part in rescue operations, escorting the K-500 nuclear submarine from combat duty, and on official visits to China and South Korea.

In December 1998, due to the poor condition of some of the main boilers, the destroyer Bystry was transferred to the 1st category reserve. By the way, the unsatisfactory state of the destroyer's boiler facilities almost led to the death of the ship and its crew in September 2010.

For the sake of peace on the planet

In June 2013, "Bystry", as part of a detachment of ships "Oslyabya" and "Kalar", took part in the military-historical "Campaign of Memory" dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the 282th anniversary of the Pacific Fleet.

In May 2014, the Russian-Chinese exercise "Maritime Interaction 2014" took place, which did not take place without the crew of the "Bystry".

At the end of 2015, a Russian-Indian exercise took place. The detachment of Russian ships also included the Bystry destroyer.

Merits of the crew of "Bystry"

Over the years of service, the destroyer "Bystry" (Pacific Fleet), the photo of which is presented above, was repeatedly noted by the command of the Navy as the best combat unit:

At the end of 1991, the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy awarded the ship's crew a prize for excellent artillery fire at sea targets.

In September 1996, on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the Russian fleet, the Bystry crew showed excellent preparation for rocket firing. The result of the shooting was the second prize of the Commander-in-Chief.

At the end of 2013, the destroyer won 1st place among ships of 1, 2 ranks in the competition for the destruction of sea targets with missiles.

Summing up the results of 2014 brought "Bystrom" the prize of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy for the competent and effective use of the weapons available on the destroyer.

An excerpt characterizing the Swift (destroyer)

This winter Natasha began to sing seriously for the first time, especially because Denisov was delighted with her singing. She sang now not childishly, there was no such comic, childish diligence in her singing, which was in her before; but she didn’t sing well yet, as all the expert judges who listened to her said. "Not processed, but a beautiful voice, it must be processed", everyone said. But they usually said this much after her voice had ceased. At the same time, when this unprocessed voice sounded with irregular aspirations and with the effort of transitions, even the expert judges did not say anything, and only enjoyed this unprocessed voice and only wanted to hear it again. In her voice there was that virgin virginity, that ignorance of her powers and that still unprocessed velvet, which were so combined with the shortcomings of the art of singing that it seemed that it was impossible to change anything in this voice without spoiling it.
“What is this? - thought Nikolay, hearing her voice and widening his eyes. - What happened to her? How does she sing today? " He thought. And suddenly the whole world for him concentrated in anticipation of the next note, the next phrase, and everything in the world became divided into three tempos: “Oh mio crudele affetto ... [Oh my cruel love ...] One, two, three ... one, two ... three ... time ... Oh mio crudele affetto ... One, two, three ... time. Eh, our life is stupid! - thought Nikolay. All this, and misfortune, and money, and Dolokhov, and anger, and honor - all this is nonsense ... but here it is ... Hy, Natasha, well, my dear! well, mother! ... how will she take this si? took! Thank God!" - and he, himself not noticing that he was singing in order to amplify this si, took the second in the third of the high note. "Oh my God! how good! Did I take it? how happy! " he thought.
O! how this third trembled, and how something best that was in Rostov's soul moved. And this something was independent of everything in the world, and above everything in the world. What losses are there, and Dolokhovs, and honestly! ... It's all nonsense! You can kill, steal and still be happy ...

For a long time already Rostov did not experience such pleasure from music as on this day. But as soon as Natasha finished her barcarroll, reality came to him again. He left without saying anything and went downstairs to his room. A quarter of an hour later, the old count, cheerful and contented, arrived from the club. Nikolai, hearing his arrival, went to him.
- Well, have you had some fun? - said Ilya Andreevich, smiling happily and proudly at his son. Nikolai wanted to say yes, but he could not: he almost burst into tears. The count was lighting his pipe and did not notice the state of his son.
"Eh, inevitable!" - Nikolay thought for the first and last time. And suddenly in the most casual tone, such that he seemed disgusting to himself, as if he had asked the crew to go to the city, he told his father.
- Dad, and I came to you for business. I was and forgot. I need money.
“That's how it is,” said my father, in a particularly cheerful spirit. - I told you that it will not be enough. How many?
- A lot, - blushing and with a stupid, careless smile, which he could not forgive himself for a long time, said Nikolai. - I lost a little, that is, even a lot, a lot, 43 thousand.
- What? Who? ... You're kidding! The count shouted, suddenly blushing apoplectically with his neck and the back of his head, as old people blush.
“I promised to pay tomorrow,” Nikolai said.
- Well! ... - said the old count, spreading his hands and powerlessly sank down on the sofa.
- What to do! With whom it has not happened! - said the son in a cheeky, bold tone, while in his heart he considered himself a scoundrel, a scoundrel who could not atone for his crime his whole life. He would like to kiss his father's hands, on his knees to ask for his forgiveness, but he said in a casual and even rude tone that this happens to everyone.
Count Ilya Andreevich lowered his eyes, hearing these words of his son, and hurried to find something.
“Yes, yes,” he said, “it's difficult, I'm afraid, it's difficult to get it ... with whom hasn't happened! yes, with whom it has not happened ... - And the count glanced in the face of his son and went out of the room ... Nikolai was preparing to repulse, but did not expect it at all.

Since the beginning of the First World War, three have served in Russia at different times under the name "Fast".

Destroyer "Fast" (1914)

The first ship belonging to the class of destroyers with the name "Bystry" was launched in 1914 as part of the "Program for the Rapid Strengthening of the Black Sea Fleet". Since 1925 he began to bear the name "Frunze". It had a displacement with a length of a little less than 100 m, its two steam turbines developed a capacity of 23 thousand liters. With., maximum speed was 34 knots, cruising range - 1.7 thousand miles at a speed of 21 knots.

Since launching, he was armed with three and then four 102 mm guns, two anti-aircraft guns, first with a caliber of 47, and later with 76 mm, and torpedo tubes.

This "Fast" - a destroyer that fought on the Black Sea during the First World War, was seriously damaged, because of which the Civil War stood in the Sevastopol naval port.

From 1923 to 1927, he underwent modernization and rearmament, from the first days of the Great Patriotic War, already under the name "Frunze", he participated in escorting transport ships, in setting minefields and in the defense of Odessa. Sank in September 1941 during a raid of nine Ju-87 dive bombers in a shallow area.

Destroyer "Fast" (1936)

The second destroyer "Bystry" was launched in November 1936. Its displacement was already 2.4 thousand tons, the capacity of the boiler and turbine plant was 56 thousand liters. with., maximum speed - up to 39 knots, cruising range at 19.5 knots - 2.5 thousand miles.

In addition to artillery, anti-aircraft guns, machine guns and torpedo tubes, the destroyer had a BMB-1 bomb launcher on board, ten large and twenty small

This "Bystry" - a destroyer, also assigned to the Black Sea Fleet, did not have time to fight, but was sunk twice, and in the first summer of World War II died almost at the same time as "Frunze".

The bow was used to restore the same type of destroyer "Merciless", and the coastal battery was equipped with guns. After the war, the destroyer was raised and cut into metal.

Destroyer "Fast" (1987)

The third ship named "Bystry" was launched at the end of November 1987, and it is still in service. Its full displacement is 7.9 thousand tons, two boiler and turbine units develop a capacity of 100 thousand liters. with., maximum speed - 33.4 knots, at an economical speed of 18 knots, the cruising range is almost 4 thousand miles. A project 956 destroyer of the "Sarych" type can be in autonomous navigation for thirty days. According to the NATO code "Fast" refers to the Sovremenny class destroyer.

This "Fast" is a destroyer that already carries missile weapons and an air group. Apart from AK-130 artillery mounts, it carries P-270 Moskit anti-ship missile launchers and Uragan air defense missile systems, as well as a Ka-27 helicopter. As anti-submarine weapons, the ship is equipped with two RBU-1000 six-barreled sea bombs and two two-tube torpedo tubes with four SET-65 torpedoes, and four six-barreled AK-630 anti-aircraft guns from the anti-aircraft weapon.

In different periods of service "Bystry" changed three side numbers: it was launched under No. 676, in 1991 it was assigned No. 786, and in 1993 - No. 715.

How did the destroyer "Fast" start service?

The Pacific Fleet accepted the new ship in 1989. The passage to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, which lasted almost two months, the destroyer made in 1990 together with the flagship of the Pacific Fleet - the missile cruiser Chervona Ukraine, which five years later received the name Varyag. During the long voyage, the ships entered the port of Cam Ranh in Vietnam. at that time it was a logistics center for Soviet ships and submarines.

Prior to this, in the summer of 1990, "Bystry" together with the patrol boat "Indomitable" and "Chervona Ukraina" paid a friendly visit to the port of Kiel (FRG). During it, while maneuvering, the destroyer collided with a German frigate. The incident ended without damage to the ship named "Fast".

The destroyer at the same time was included in the forces of constant readiness. At the end of 1990, already in the Sea of Japan, he provided tests of a submarine and at the end of the year was named the best in training and protection against weapons of mass destruction (WMD).

In 1991, exercises were held to provide anti-submarine and air defense of heavy aircraft-carrying cruisers (TAKR), and in August the destroyer Bystry took part in joint exercises in them.

The ship took first place in artillery firing at sea targets among the first-rank boards at the KChF, therefore, as part of the ship's strike group (KUG), together with the destroyer "Battle", received the Prize of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy.

Service in the Russian Navy

In 1992, the destroyer "Bystry" in the Amur Bay on the large anti-submarine ship "Admiral Zakharov" helped extinguish the fire, in the Sea of Japan she participated in an anti-submarine search operation, where there were at least six contacts with potential enemy submarines.

In 1993, "Fast" was demonstrated to the Commander-in-Chief of the Chinese Navy, as part of a group of ships, he visited the Chinese port of Qingdao on an official visit (though he came there in tow due to a bearing accident) and the port of Busan ( South Korea). During this year, the destroyer covered 4.5 thousand nautical miles.

He traveled seven thousand miles in the next three years, winning twice the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy Prizes in Competitive Missile Shooting and Missile Training.

In 1997, "Bystry" accompanied the submarine missile cruiser APLK-50 returning from combat service and was put into the reserve of the first category at the end of 1998.

He completed a similar task in 2004 with the submarine K-565, accompanied the PM-74 to Kamchatka and back and the large landing ship BDK-98 “Admiral Nevelskoy”.

In 2010, a sailor extinguishing the fire received severe burns during a fire in the engine room. He was posthumously awarded the title "Hero of the Russian Federation".

In the summer of 2013, a large military-historical naval "Campaign of Memory" took place, in which the destroyer "Bystry" also took part. It lasted 25 days, and the ships covered more than 4 thousand miles in it.

The destroyer "Bystry" looks menacing (see photo below), what can I say. And not only it looks - it is not without reason that it took first place in rocket firing at sea targets between ships of the first and second rank.

In the spring of 2014, Bystry took part in the Maritime Interaction 2014 exercise, which was conducted by Russia and China.

"And they finished their trip on the Pacific Ocean ..."

The last cruise of the destroyer "Fast" ended quite recently. In November 2015, the flagship of the Pacific Fleet, the missile cruiser Varyag, the Bystry destroyer, BMT (large sea tanker) Boris Butoma, and the rescue tug Alatau made the transition from Vladivostok to the Indian port of Vishakhapatnam.

The cruiser "Varyag" has been modernized more than once, in 2015 it underwent a major overhaul.

The Boris Butoma tanker is intended for the integrated supply of the Russian Pacific Fleet ships.

In the Indian Ocean, the Indian Navy and ships of the Pacific Fleet, including the Bystry destroyer, conducted joint exercises. The Indra Navi 2015 naval exercise took place in the Bay of Bengal. After the exercises "Varyag" went on a solo voyage. He celebrated the New Year 2016 in the Mediterranean Sea.

The destroyer "Bystry" with escort ships, having visited ports in Indonesia - Tanjung Priok, in North Vietnam - Danang, and in China - Shanghai, at the end of January 2016, having covered 15 thousand miles, returned to Vladivostok.

Since its construction in more than a quarter of a century, the Bystry destroyer has covered almost 44 thousand miles. At various times, 13 people from its crews were awarded government awards.

Where is the fast destroyer located now? He is still in the ranks ...
