In fairness, it must be said that the frames are not completely forgotten. On their basis, high-pass SUVs and trucks are still being created, because where there are high loads, such car frame structures have advantages.

And yet, what is better is a frame or a load-bearing body ... If we talk about frames, then in terms of their execution, the frames are quite diverse. There are such types:

First, let's define what a frame SUV is and why you need it. In my understanding, this is a universal passenger car, the units and body of which are mounted on a frame (usually a spar), with a high ground clearance, connected or permanent all-wheel drive. The main advantage of such machines is durability, reliability and spaciousness. And they are better than other passenger cars adapted to driving on dirt roads and separate off-road sections. There are enough of them in our country.

Our goal is to find a new or at least a fresh car for family use. Therefore, we will do without exotic Land Rover Defender (for a million we can only see shabby copies aged 10 and over), Jeep Wrangler (cool, but impractical), Hummer H2, H3 and other big "Americans" and "Japanese" of the American type , such as Toyota Sequoia or Infiniti QX56 (gluttonous engines, exorbitant transport tax). I'm not saying these are bad cars. They are simply not for the mass consumer. So is the little Suzuki Jimny. Yes, frame, you can buy almost new, plus excellent cross-country ability. Still, this is not a family car.

UAZ Patriot and UAZ Hunter

Of all frame SUVs new for a million, only Patriot or Hunter can be purchased from us. I just want to say that some of the disadvantages of these cars, such as indistinct handling and high fuel consumption, are, to one degree or another, inherent in all frame SUVs. It is impossible to find a car in this class with the controllability of a sports car and an appetite for a small car. I will not argue about the level of safety, poor quality of components and "floating" build quality.

I foresee objections that in our market there is at least one more new frame SUV worth up to a million rubles - DW Hower H3, localized by Derweiss Great Wall Hover H3.
