On VAZ-2112 cars, a different number of supports were installed on different engines. So, on the 8 valve engines there were 3, two on the sides and one behind, and on 16 valve - 4, two on the sides, one below the front and above in front of the motor . Step-by-step replacement process

Right pillow
In order to unscrew the engine support from the right side, we do the following work order:
Left pillow
- As in the case and with the right pillow, dismantle the upper nut.
- Then we unscrew the two bolts on the sides and remove the pillow.
- We remove the bottom puck with the stud.
- Install a new pillow in reverse sequence.
Lower front pillow
- Using the key, you turn off two bolts in turn.
- The sequence does not matter. Dismantling depending on the convenience.
- We dismantle the old pillow and install a new one.
- If during installation, the control holes do not match, it is necessary to slightly raise the engine. For this you can use a jack.
Top Front Pillow
This looks like a new upper engine cushion.
Please note that during these works, dismantle all the pillows are absolutely prohibited at once, since in this case, the engine will simply not hold on to the engine. The replacement should be made strictly in turn, starting with one of the four supports. Also for the most reliable fixation, the engine can be put on the engine or jack.
Fault
It is possible to understand that the engine cushions failed, it is possible to increase the vibrations emanating from the motor to the body. When it functions in a stable mode, and the body begins to vibrate and rattling, passing everything on the pedals, and the steering wheel, you can be sure of the engine pillow fault.

Checking performance

First of all, on the started engine, inspect the pillow condition:
