In these holes, valves are installed, passing the air outward, but preventing it from entering the car. This design improves the thermal insulation of the cabin.

Air entering into the salon, if necessary, heated through the radiator of the VAZ 2110 heater, and is distributed in accordance with the position of the air flow control knob. The main part of the air is directed to the windshield and - through the blockers overlapped by flap - to the side windows and to the central part of the cabin. Also, the air is supplied to the feet of the driver and the passenger-sitting ahead through two pairs of deflectors (one pair - at the knee level, the other - at the floor) and to the legs of the rear passengers through the pad on the floor tunnel and two air ducts under the front seats.

To accelerate the heating of the salon and prevent the external air to the salon (when crossing the tanned, smoke, dyed areas of the road) serves the air recirculation system. When blending the recycling button (on the instrument panel), an electropneumoclap opens, and under the action of the vacuum in the intake pipeline, the recycling system flaps overlaps the access of the outside air into the car's salon. Thus, the operation of the recirculation system is possible only with the engine running. At the same time, if the fan is turned on, the air in the salon of the VAZ 2112 continues to circulate by passing through the heater ducts.

The fan has three modes of operation: low speed, medium and automatic choice (determined by the control unit). The electric motor of the fan is a collector, direct current, with excitation from permanent magnets. Current strength at the maximum speed of rotation - 14 A. Depending on the selected speed, the VAZ 2112 motor is connected to the car on-board network directly (maximum speed) or through an additional resistor. The latter has two spirals with a resistance of 0.23 ohms and 0.82 ohms. If both spirals are included in the chain, the fan rotates at a low speed, if only one (0.23 ohms) is on average.

It is not recommended to build a fan wheel from the electric motor shaft - you can break the balancing. The electric motor repair is not subject to (with the exception of the collector stripping), when you fail, it should be replaced with a fan wheel.

The heater radiator is installed under the instrument panel of the VAZ 2110 horizontally in the plastic casing and consists of two plastic tanks (left - with a vapor-shaped fitting) and two rows of aluminum tubes with press-out plates. Depending on the position of the flaps through the radiator, part of the closed air passes (in the extreme positions of the flap passes all air or does not pass at all), the rest of its part passes the radiator. Unlike the former models of the vase, there is no crane, overlapping the coolant flow, thus, when the engine running the heater radiator is always heated. This design provides a small inertia of the VAZ 2111 system (the specified air temperature is achieved faster) and the absence of leaks associated with the leakage of the crane.

The heater control is carried out by commands from the electronic control unit. The air temperature in the cabin is set to install the controller knob (temperature valve) to the appropriate division of the scale (from 16 ° C to 30 ° C, with an interval of 2 ° C). The unit reads information about the temperature in the cabin from the temperature sensor located on the ceiling and equipped with a micoverantulator. Then, depending on the temperature difference, it turns on the micromotor, controlling the heater valve, and selects the fan speed if the fan control knob is set to "A". The micromotor is equipped with a VAZ 2112 heater valve position sensor (ring resistor). The signal from the sensor enters the control unit that turns off the micromotor as soon as the flap reaches the specified position.

To accurately configure the control unit on it there is a stroke screw. To check the temperature control accuracy, close all the doors and windows, place the control thermometer near the temperature sensor, put the fan control knob to the A, and the temperature parameter is 2 ° C above the temperature in the cabin measured by the thermometer. If after 15 minutes the actual temperature in the cabin will not match the specified, remove the controller from the socket and turn the adjusting screw clockwise - to increase the temperature and counter - to reduce. After adjustment, check the operation of the control unit again.
