Replacing the generator bearing with a vaz

1. Disconnect the battery.
2. We unscrew the nut from the top of the generator stud on the adjusting bracket, a few minutes before having sprayed VD-40 on the thread.
3. From the bottom, from the inspection pit, remove the engine protection, after which we unscrew the two lower nuts for securing the electric motor, having also previously processed them with VD-40.
4. Having disconnected the electrical wires, we get our cherished knot through the bottom.
5. We are preparing new parts - generator bearings from VAZ 2110 number 6303 (front) and 6203 (rear).
6. We also disassemble the electric motor using penetrating grease. First of all, blocking the rotor with a screwdriver, unscrew the pulley.
7. We pull back the latches, then dismantle the motor casing.
8. We remove the brushes, and also unscrew the 4 bolts of the halves of the assembly to be disassembled. Before you cut the knot in half, do not forget to place the marks with an indelible marker.
9. Use a screwdriver to pry off the cover, remove the cover assembly with the rotor and a standard rolling part.
10. To dismantle the rotor from the electric motor, screw the nut onto the thread, then tap the nut with a hammer through the wooden block.
11. We remove the front bearing, carefully knocking it out with the same round timber. Namely, since the bearing from the VAZ 2110 is small, a diameter of about 27 mm is suitable.
12. We take out the rear bearing with a puller.
13. We install new parts, apply lubricant, then we assemble in the reverse order.

So, we figured out how to change the bearings on the generator of a VAZ 2110 car. In fact, this is a fairly simple process. You just need to go through many stages, which means spending a certain amount of time.

Since we are talking about a bearing for a VAZ, the natural question will be: what about other VAZ models? Are there any problems there in the production of the works we study?

Another modification

As for the direct brother of the above car, replacing the generator bearings with a VAZ 2112 differs little from the described process. After all, the filling of these cars is actually the same. Moreover, the marking number of the bearing for the VAZ 2112 is identical to the one we mentioned earlier, both on the front and on the rear.

For repair actions, you will need the same set of tools and accessories:

• round timber and bar;
• puller;
• "Litol".

Procedure.

1. We de-energize the car from the battery power.
2. We dismantle the electric motor we need in the same way as for the "ten", since it is attached in the same way.
3. In the sequence described above, we release the necessary parts from the assembly unit.
4. Applying thick grease, we install new parts.

We did not pay much attention to this instruction, since the VAZ 2110 engine and the VAZ 2112 engine are, in fact, the same configuration, and the generator model is used in these machines the same.

1. Disconnect the terminals from the battery.
2. We loosen the long adjusting bolt at the top of the dismantled unit, then unscrew the lower fastening of the electric motor, having previously treated the threaded connections with penetrating grease.
3. Having disconnected all the wires, we remove the electric motor (you can try through the top), and also prepare new parts. Their numbers are 180302 and 180201.
4. We unscrew the plastic cover of the electric motor, dismantle the brush holder and the voltage regulator. At the same time, we study the degree of wear of the brushes.
5. Use a screwdriver to separate the stator from the cover. A hammer may come in handy here, but we do everything very carefully!
6. Unscrew the nut from the pulley area and separate the impeller.
7. We remove the bearings and install new ones, applying thick grease.
8. The assembly is done from the opposite

It is easy to understand that the procedure is similar to the process we described for the case of the "ten". That is, the set of stages, again, does not cause any particular complexity. But it happens that some owners of VAZ cars with front-wheel drive either do not have time to do repairs with their own hands, or there are no conditions, or there are enough funds to contact a car service.
