You will also need to remove the glass seal from the inside. If you rush through the process, you can tear this layer.
Only after these actions can you safely remove the glass. To do this, unscrew the two nuts located on the window regulator holder.
Note! It is imperative to take out and put the glass at an angle.
The glass must be pulled out of the metal holder with an old rubber band. This can be done with a screwdriver, slightly unbending the holder.
Installation
After removing the old glass, it's time to start installing the new one in the holder.
This process should be carried out in a specific sequence:
- the glass is first tried on to the holder, while it does not need to be inserted both into the holder itself and into the window regulator mount;
- it is advisable to replace the glass with an assistant, since he will hold the door with the inserted glass while the master tries on the holder to the glass and the window regulator. On the glass, you need to make a special mark with a marker or something else;
- now everything is pulled out again. The upper edge of the glass is placed on a wooden support, while a piece of crude rubber is applied to the lower part (you can buy it in the same place as the glass itself).
Further, according to the marking, a metal holder is attached. After that, gently tap the holder with a hammer until it sits down to the end; - at the end of the process, the glass is installed in its place, following the reverse sequence. The door trim should be mounted with light blows in the area of the caps.
As a result of blows, they must enter their nests. For better reliability, they can be guided with a screwdriver.
Installation of external seals
Note. When installing new side windows on a VAZ 2110, you need to take care of installing the seals. As a rule, external glass seals perform many functions, for example, they press the glass along the entire perimeter, protecting against water penetration into the door. They also help to reduce wind noise.
Few know that external seals can be different:
- "Velvet" is placed horizontally at the bottom of the glass;
- The "edging" is placed along the contour of the glass.
Over time, velvet cloths accumulate sand and dirt under them. Glass and tinting are often scratched when the window is opened.
To prevent such a nuisance, it is advisable to periodically clean the velvet cloth. In this case, it is recommended to replace them with similar ones from LADA Priora.
It is worth noting that two types of velvets are produced for Lada Priora cars, this is a new and an old model. The second type has no significant differences, so let's pay attention to the installation of a new sample.

- a thin screwdriver is pushed into the velvet groove;

After installing the velvet, they proceed to mounting the edging. As previously noted, it must be the same brand as the first type of seal.
If the glass in the car is not original, wind noise may be heard at high speed. In some situations, a non-original rubber band is installed, which is the cause of this noise.
Of course, it is not always possible to purchase original glass, but you can get out of the situation in another way - to install a high-quality edging. As a result, the air flow will flow around the body on the sides without creating noise.

First you need to lower the glass, hook the seal on the inside of the door to the lock with a hook. Further, this seal is bent inside the cabin to open the lock, and then it is pulled up.
Replacing old seals with new Priorovskie ones makes it possible to improve the appearance and sound insulation characteristics. If you need to change the inner velvet in the cabin of the "dozen", it should be borne in mind that it is from Priora that they will not work because of the door trim.
Replacing the side windows of Vaz in step-by-step instructions
For those who want to independently replace the side windows in a VAZ 2110 car, you will need step-by-step instructions with explanations.
Note! When performing work, you cannot do without a screwdriver and keys in size 8 and 10.
So:
- Use a screwdriver to pry on and remove the decorative plug from the upper armrest fixing screw.
Note! First, the side window must be positioned in the upper position.
- Three screws are unscrewed from the armrest fastening, after which the armrest itself is removed.
- The handle socket is squeezed out of the upholstery with a screwdriver, while the tool must be moved along the handle.
- The cladding is removed.
- The window regulator handle and the handle rosette are removed.
- Using a screwdriver, the lining of the inner handle of the lock drive is pry off, which moves along this handle, and then is removed.
- The door trim is pushed off with a screwdriver at the places where the holders are located, and then removed.
Note! Usually the upholstery is fixed to the door panel with 7 plastic holders.
- The protective film is rolled up and pressed by the side glass.
- Unscrew the two fastening screws of the rear side window channel.
- The nut securing the front channel of the side glass is unscrewed.
- The front chute is removed.
- The window regulator handle is put on and the glass is lowered to the maximum lower position.
- The two screws of the clamping plate of the glass holder are unscrewed, after which this plate is removed.
Note! The glass must remain on the travel stop.
- The fastening nut of the tension roller of the cable of the installed window regulator must be loosened.
- The tension of the cable is weakened, while the branches of this millet are compressed.
- The cable of the lower guide roller is removed.
- The glass is removed from the position of the travel stop, it goes down and moves forward by 100 mm.
- The glass is transferred through the flanging of the door, while its lower edge tilts towards itself, after which it is removed.
- The new side window is installed in the pivot glass seals, only then in the door frame itself.
- The glass is lowered onto the travel stop and aligned. It is necessary to “tighten” the screw of the pressure plate and put the cable back on the rollers.
- The front chute must be installed in such a way that its retainer engages with the pivot glass guide.
- The rear channel is installed so that the upper part with the welded nut goes under the door frame.
- The side glass is installed in the gutters. Tighten the rear channel fixing screws and the front channel fixing nut.
- The window regulator handle is turned to the limit in the lowering direction, while the tension roller is displaced. Next, the cable is stretched and the tension roller fixing nut is tightened.
- All clamping plate fixing screws are tightened. In this case, the cable is placed between the screws.
Now you can check the functioning of the window regulator. If necessary, adjust the tension of the cable and the placement of the grooves. - The door trim is installed in the reverse order.
Note! Check the presence and functionality of the upholstery holders. Broken holders change.
- The rest of the spare parts are installed in the reverse order.
Note! Window lifter handles are installed with the glass maximally raised, they should be tilted 45 degrees forward from the vertical.
