If you do not want to suffer with measurements, soldering and insulating the wires, you can search for kits that are ready for connecting. They include LED strips with soldered along the edges of the wires. Such bands are fixed in the right place and connected to the power supply.
Installing different backlight options
Point diodes
A resistor solder to one of the legs of the diode. Next, the wires are soldered and wind open wiring isolate. At a distance of about 20 cm make a terminal connection. LEDs are ready to install.
Now they prepare a place for mounting. If we are talking about the handles of the cabin, it will be necessary to remove the trim and at the installation site make a small hole. The hole should be of this diameter so that the diode keeps in it quite tight. If desired, it will be possible to glue the diode with the "moment" glue.
The wiring is pulled under the trim in the cabin in such a way that it can be subsequently connected. In the same way, point diodes are installed anywhere in the cabin.
LED Strip Light
Install in the car LED backlight is not difficult. The location of the intended mounting is measured and cut off the ribbon of the corresponding length. Cuts produce with scissors on special membranes.
ATTENTION! If the tapes take more than you need, it will feel bad and will continue to be saved. Therefore, it is better to cut off a little less than the tape than was planned.
Wiring is soldered to the edges of the prepared segments, check the performance of the structure, connecting it to the power, after which they go to the installation. For the best clutch tape with a plastic surface, the tape mounting place is degreased. For this, the degreaser is applied to the cloth, wipe the desired plot and leave it for 3-5 minutes to complete drying. After that, from the LED tape remove the protective film and glued the strip in the right place. If the tape does not have a protective film and a sticky surface, then for its installation, the "moment" adhesive.
The algorithm described above is suitable for mounting lighting on straight surfaces. If you need to set the backlight on the segment with the bend, you will have to tinker. The fact is that the LED ribbon is not desirable even at an angle of 90 degrees. Therefore, you will need to cut off two pieces of the desired length, clean the edges and solder them in the folds of folds. A shrink tube is put on the place of soldering and heated it. Wirings are soldered to the outer edge of the LED tape, isolate them and install the ribbon in the right place.
Neon lamps
Neon lamps should be installed in places where the risk of their mechanical damage is reduced to zero. For example, to illuminate the podcast space. The following tools and materials will be needed for mounting:
- neon lamps;
- aluminum corner;
- capron Clamps for fastening;
- saws.
If the lamp has a connector for connecting to the cigarette lighter, it is cut and cleaned with contacts. From the aluminum corner, a piece is scolded, which in length coincides with the lamp. The corner is screwed to the torpedo, neon lamps are fixed to it with a clamp. In the same way, the lamps are fixed under the glove compartment and under the rear seats. Wiring is hiding under the car's trim and stretch to the torpedo.
Connecting backlight
There are different options for connecting the backlight. Most often for this purpose, the cigarette lighter or light of the cabin is used.
If the backlight is connected to the cigarette lighter, then "+" is connected to the "+" cigarette lighter, and "-" - to any place of the car body. To connect the backlight to the lighting of the cabin, you will need to remove the ceiling and connect "+" to the white wire, and "-" - to the red. For the effect of smooth power on and off, the dimmer is further connected to the system.
As for neon backlight, it is powered through a specially installed transformer from the battery. You need to attach the switch to the battery, and then put the fuse on the entire backlight. The maximum distance from the fuse to a positive battery terminal is 45 cm.
The wire is best stretched through the hole in the housing, between the engine or the cabin. So that the sharp edges do not cut the cable, they are neutralized with the help of soft rubber rings of a suitable diameter.
Now the second wire is connected to the corresponding battery terminal. It is either stretched along the same route as the first, or simply connect to the machine body. Then include the system and check its performance.
