These motorcycles have a rather interesting story and appeared spontaneously. The founder of the plant, which F. Yanechk was engaged in the production of firearms and was not going to change his genus. However, the case intervened. Gradually, the number of orders began to decrease, the sale of rifles did not bring the expected profits. In order not to become bankrupt, the entrepreneur decided to modernize factory capacities and go to the release of motorcycles. He acquired a patent for the production of motorcycles that were previously gathered by Vanderer. Having gained good to assemble heavy motorcycles, Yanechki in 1929 launched a conveyor, but the demand for "Java" 350 SV was small.

Cooperating with the English designer, Czechoslovak entrepreneur created a new model that went on sale in 1932. More light motorcycles were equipped with 250- and 350-cubic four-stroke engines, allowing to develop a good speed. Sales climbed noticeably and kept at a high level before the beginning of World War II. Occuping Czechoslovakia, Wehrmacht's soldiers have long tried to create their own motorcycle under the brand name "Java", and also repaired military motorcycle production at the factory.

The new history of Motorcycle "Java" began in 1945. At first, the plant produced pre-war models, but already in 1946, a completely new "Java 250" was presented. Motorcycle attracted attention to the fact that it was equipped with a very swing-stroke engine, as well as a transmission with automatic clutch shutdown.

The famous "Java 350" saw the light in 1948. Since the company has become state and was under the control of the Soviet Union, it allowed to export motorcycles abroad. But the main consumers remained the Soviet motorcyclists who had to do Czechoslovak quality.
