AutoNews: Test Summer Tires of various classes (2016). What tires are better: Dunlop or Michelin Tire Dunlop Summer tests

The German magazine AUTOBILD tested more than 50 models of Summer Tires of 185/60 R 15, intended for CD cars. The first places in the deceleration test went to Pirelli, Continental and Dunlop.

AUTOBILD is looking for the best tires to the new summer season. On the test landfill 53 models of summer tires for CD cars (185/60 R 15). Specialists carefully studied their braking path, handling, protection against aquaplaning, noise and comfort, as well as efficiency (wear resistance and rolling resistance). In the first part of the test, the braking path of each model was measured on a dry and wet road at a speed of 100 km / h. And only 18 tires that showed the best result were admitted to the second part of the test, where their operational properties were considered in detail.

Surprise this season: The best result on the wet road demonstrated Nankang XR611 Toursport - only 35.4 meters. True, on the wet asphalt, her braking path was lengthened by 25 meters - not enough to get to the "Higher League".

Balanced behavior demonstrated Pirelli Cinturato P1 Verde (37.0 and 47.5 meters on a dry and wet road, respectively), in general, this is the best test result. It follows Continental PremiumContact 5 (36.6 / 48.1 meters), Dunlop Sport Bluresponse (35.9 / 49.5 meters) and Bridgestone Turanza T001 (36.4 / 49.8 meters). The Sailun, Autogrip, Tristar, Silverstone, Toyo, Rotalla and Maxtrek, which had more than 70 meters in the wet, turned out to be the most dangerous. For comparison: where the car on Pirelli tires stopped, the car with the Maxtrek tires continued to be rushed at a speed of over 65 km / h.

At this test site, we worked for the first time and, confess, feared for the success of the enterprise. First, Italians, as you know, are not famous for punctuality, and secondly, there were ... closely! It is located on the territory of the Ticino National Park - and because it cannot grow. Tracks are arranged tightly, and sometimes we had to share the roads with other testes. And yet, the point is to disperse with the car, which trailer tuscated with tires installed on it for Formula 1! To carry out "attendant" tests of racing tires, there are few places here, and we found "laboratory work" on the study of the spots of contact "formula" tires.

And yet we made everything that outlined, and on time! Our "credit" car - Audi A3 Sedan.

In general, the test program is standard, and the focus, as usual, we have given safety on the wet asphalt - the most dangerous summer coating.

However, the braking path from the speed of 100 km / h on the half of the test tires was less than 40 meters. In this, of course, there is a merit of a perfectly tuned ABS of our car, but the main thing is the quality of the tires. Particularly pleased with ContiSportContact 5: the car freezes after 37.6 meters! But it is necessary to recall once again that the measurement technique is somewhat different from the one that we use in the course of our comparative tests: there the driver starts braking from a speed of 101-102 km / h, and the result is influenced by delay in the triggering of the brake drive, and when testing Tire deceleration begins with 110 km / h, at 100 km / h The device starts counting the path to the stop - and in the end it turns out a couple of meters shorter. All the same - excellent results! More precisely, it was perfect until the Dunlop SP SPORT LM704 tires installed on the car. At the first braking, uncle Vana did not have enough wet track length - and the car slipped into a dry asphalt. I had to move the point of starting braking, and the result was 55.5 meters! Wet road and really cunning ...

Is it worth talking to what caution I took a controller on the wet track? The track is small, the safety zone is narrow ... I turn off the stabilization system - and forward. On the high-speed arc, the car accelerates up to 90 km / h, it slides in turns by all four wheels, and it is not necessary to control the sliding of labor. Especially on Continental or Michelin tires.

No incident and Dunlop tires, although I had to go slower.

And on the track, a flooded layer of water with a thickness of 7 mm, the Dunlop tires and pulled themselves to other test participants. It is already important here not so much composition of the rubber mixture, with which Dunlop tires clearly trouble how much drainage properties of the tread.
After a series of measurements, in which the speed of starting to slip the leading wheels is recorded, it turned out that the best drainage is provided by the Hankook tires, and the protocol is closed all the same Dunlop tires.

The test program on dry asphalt was reduced to braking from a speed of 100 km / h and the "Perestrovka" maneuver, imitating a detour of an unexpected obstacle.

In the first exercise, the leaders were Continental and Michelin tires, in the second, with a fair separation, - Pirelli P Zero tires, but they are out of exchange, because they are a top model Pirelli, chosen on the role of a kind of standard, and mostly tire standing on class, or even two, below. Of these, the continental tires were better than others on the "rearrangement".

Now - about comfort. There are several sections with artificial irregularities on the landfill, there is a pavement, there are asphalt of different roughness. Travel - and came to the conclusion that from the point of view of acoustic comfort, all tires are very close. Is that BRIDGESTONE TURANZA T001 tires slightly noiser than others on the rough asphalt.

But the difference in smoothness is noticeable. Better than others - Michelin Primacy 3 tires, Nokian Hakka Blue and Pirelli Cinturato P7 Blue. And stronger Bridgestone Turanza T001, Continental ContiSportContact 5, Hankook Ventus S1 EVO 2 and Pirelli P Zero.

In conclusion, both leading, "shock tests" - passages through a metal bar height 81 mm. Increasing the speed of 5 km / h with each race, Uncle Vanya did not calm down, while the tire finally did not empty the Spirit.

The most "oak" - in a good sense! - The extra-first Pirelli P Zero tires, laid up to 75 km / h. From the main group, the best of others opposed Toyo and Dunlop tire strikes. And worse than all - Pirelli Cinturato P7 Blue: Pose 55 km / h. Pretty! These tires have the smallest rolling resistance, and this is achieved and by reducing the sidewall thickness. By the way, they weigh less than others. But prices ...

Tires Pirelli Cinturato P7 Blue is a novelty, and sell them in Russia already on the "new" euro course, and this is almost 9,000 rubles for a dimension tire 225/45 R17. By the way, the tires of a higher class Pirelli P Zero at the end of February could still be found in online stores for 5800 rubles per piece. Hurry!

According to the results of our tests, the CONTINENTAL CONTISPORTCONTACT CONTACTCT 5. Recommended! But from buying tires Dunlop SP SPORT LM704 is better to refuse.

The weather on the Italian polygon was perfect - 18-20 degrees of heat, but the nights were cold, and in one day we left the roads of the landfill early to put the experiment.

There were seven degrees of heat - at such a temperature it is already recommended to change summer tires on the winter. But Uncle Vanya does not do it, and travels on the tires Pirelli Cinturato P7 Blue on the wet track to re-measure the braking path. Tens of braking - and mechanics change these tires on Pirelli P Zero. The task is to understand how the coupling properties of the tires of different class decrease with a decrease in temperature. So, if at 20 degrees, the brake path on the Pirelli Cinturato P7 Blue tires was 39.9 meters, then with a decrease in temperature to plus seven it increased to 42.8 meters. Almost three meters difference. Remember? And in the case of Pirelli P Zero tires, the brake path at low temperature has already increased five meters - and this is exactly necessary not to forget!

This, according to the Specialist of the Pirelli Tire Development Department Stephen Custer, general pattern, and it applies not only to Pirelli Tires. The mixtures that are used to produce sports tires of the UHP class are designed for high temperatures to provide the best coupling properties with temperamental driving, including racing tracks. And at low temperatures, such tires "Dube" are stronger.

We made the same measurements on the "ordinary" tires of the HP class - Continental and Dunlop. In the first, the braking path increased by two meters, but for the brake properties of Dunlop tires, the temperature almost no effect was: as it was bad and remained.

Continental ContisportContact 5. Total rating: 9.15

Continental tires again pleased with the coupling properties on the wet asphalt. The shortest braking path, and on the run of the controllability - the best time!

True, on "big water" the tires pop up earlier than the Hankook or Nokian tires leading in this standings.

There were suspicions that such outstanding "water" indicators cause increased wear and mediocre coupling properties on dry asphalt. But after the "Perestrovki" series and a ride in a circle with the maximum side accelerations of the Continental tires were battled no stronger competitors. By the way, on dry asphalt - the shortest braking path and second place when performing a "rearrangement".

From side effects, we note only increased rigidity when traveling asphalt jacks. But when driving on large irregularities of the sidewalls of these tires is quite well opposed to breakdowns.

Michelin Primacy 3. Total rating: 8.80

In the development of the tread of these tires, it seems that the designers of active participation did not take - just four longitudinal grooves and parallel slightly curved notches. But the backlog from the test leader is minimally, and in terms of the reliability of control on the wet asphalt there is not at all.

But on the dry coating on the "rearrangement", the sluggish reactions were prevented by a maneuver at high speed. Although in braking the lag behind the leader was brightened to the endlessly small ten centimeters.

Asphalt joints and rolled pebbles, these tires do not notice these tires, and on the drum tests of the Michelin tires showed themselves better than usual, taking place in the middle of the protocol.

Well balanced by the safety and comfort of tires with low rolling resistance. We recommend.

Hankook Ventus S1 EVO 2 Total rating: 8,65

From the test to the test, the Hankook tire rises in our ratings higher and higher. The specialists of the Korean company are increasingly working with car manufacturers - and now these tires are supplied to the primary configuration of many European models, including even Mercedes-Benz S-class.

Ventus S1 EVO 2 tires confidently performed both on wet and dry asphalt, and especially successfully on "big water".

On dry asphalt, the balance of quality is dismissed in favor of security: the car slows down well and performs high-speed maneuvers, but comfort is not at the highest level. As well as stroke resistance and rolling resistance.

It is too early to talk about leadership in the general event, but claims, and quite reasonable, already evident. And at the same time - the divine price.

Nokian Hakka Blue Total rating: 8,60

For resistance to the aquaplaning of the Nokian bus is inferior in our test only Hankook tires. And the coupling properties on the wet asphalt of fears are not caused - both in the longitudinal and in transverse directions.

But on the dry coating of the Nokian tire positions: the brake path is large, and with high-speed maneuvering the reaction becomes smeared. But the smoothness of the stroke is good.

Shockproof resistance at the middle level, as well as rolling resistance. And in general, one more option is relatively available tires with focus on safety on a wet road.

Pirelli Cinturato P7 Blue Total rating: 8,35

Tires are distinguished by minimal losses when rolling, did not cause concern and the braking path on the wet asphalt. On the highway "wet" manageability, the car goes well on the verge of slides, but the breakdowns are sometimes rescued. In the puddles, the problem is already noticeable: the car floats already at a speed of 74.4 km / h (worse only Dunlop).

On dry asphalt, coupling properties and manageability indicators are average. Comfort - at a high level, but with the strength of the sidewalls trouble: already at a speed of 55 km / h, the test tire was emptied the spirit.

Decent tires for good roads - without deep puddles and chosel.

Toyo Proxes CF2. Total rating: 8.25

On the wet asphalt Toyo tires lose a little by all European models. On the control charter, once even had to "care" for the wet ...

On dry asphalt - good braking, but when performing a "rearrangement", the accuracy of the reactions is low. Small irregularities dampy well, but on the short waves of asphalt already felt the "ball effect". When visiting the border, the Toyo bus is losing tightness at a speed of 70 km / h - stronger only Pirelli P Zero tires speaking out.

Toyo tires are quite suitable for Russian depths - there are worse, and salaries are smaller.

Bridgestone Turanza T001 Total rating: 7.80

BRIDGESTONE TURANZA T001 tire reputation Saved Dunlop tires. If they were not, then in most tests, Bridgestone tires would be in the outsider. More or less adequate, they look only in the aquaplaning sector, but on the wet asphalt they glide stronger competitors. Well, at least, at the same time, they retain a good balance between demolition and drift.

On dry coating - the maximum braking path, although the result is better at the "rearrangement": before the start of slides, the car reacts very well to the steering wheel, but then "hangs" in demolitions and drifts.

Tires are hard and noisy. It was hoped that, as in the old years, Bridgestone tires will be the most durable at the expense of the border. But the breakdown happened already at a speed of 65 km / h. It is difficult to attribute to competitive advantages and the price, and therefore - deserved the penultimate place.

Dunlop SP Sport LM704 Total rating: 5.75

This is a new model for our market, presented on the Dunlop website as tires "for the widest range of modern cars, which are not only excellent handling, but also a high level of comfort, efficiency, as well as a long service life." On dry asphalt, everything really is not bad. But on the wet tire road, it becomes simply dangerous: the brake path from the speed of 100 km / h increases by 18 meters! In the turns, any careless pressing on the gas pedal turns around to slip the leading wheels and the protracted slide.

The impression is that in the modern mold form at the plant in Thailand poured a rubber mixture of thirty years ago. Possible range of applications - extremely arid regions where sediments are a couple of times a year. Behind the wheel in the rain - nor!

Pirelli P Zero. Total rating: 9.0

The Pirelli P Zero tires selected as a kind of reference should have been, in theory, to demonstrate the differences between the UHP class tires (ULTRA High Performance) from the HP class tires (High Performance). However, not in all disciplines "standard" turned out to be preferable. On the wet asphalt, Pirelli P Zero could not break away from the CONTISPORTCONTACT 5 tires, and the resistance to the aquaplaning was at all the weak. But if we were included in the offset ride along the ring track, then the minimum time would be behind the Pirelli P Zero tires. This is evidenced by the speed of the "Rearrangement": the separation from the best test tires is 3 km / h. Reactions to the steering wheel instant, slides are minimal.

Payback for manageability - unimportant comfort: tires "notice" all small irregularities. But they are the most persistent on the breakdown.

Official information:

Developing the Dunlop SP SPORT 01 model, Dunlop engineers sought to combine all the main elements: speed, safety, silent. The asymmetric design of the tread made it possible to divide the tread into three zones in accordance with three basic requirements: speed, safety and silentness.

The innovative design of the three-segment tread allows you to ensure the smoothness of the stroke and the high level of security, and also ensures the optimal behavior of the car on the road, regardless of the state of the road surface and road conditions. This makes this model ideal for middle class upper segment cars, as well as for luxury sedans.

This tire goes to the primary configuration of such cars as Mercedes-Benz S, E and Classes, BMW 7 and 5 Series, Jaguar XF and others.

Test

After testing for winter tires Michelin X-Ice North Xin2 (215 / 60R16) on the front-wheel drive Skoda Yeti with 1.2 TSI and DSG-7 (MICHELIN X-ICE North Xin2 Winter Tires (215 / 60R16)), the summer tires of the Japanese Dunlop brand were tested. After a few weeks, it was not spring, but at once the summer. Therefore, Dunlop SP SPORT 01 tires have been tested not spring, but a summer day. Test Yeti with a full drive, a 1,8stSI engine and a re-waiting box DSG-6 was executed in the most expensive Elegance configuration, so the default machine was installed 17-inch alloy wheels that were shods in Dunlop SP SPORT 01 dimension 225/50R17.

It is noteworthy that on the official Dunlop website in Russia, the SP SPort 01 tire is represented only in four dimensions (listed in the table above), although Dunlop SP SPORT 01 is found in the car dealer dealer dealer dealer centers, the Dunlop SP SPORT 01 is found in a much wider line of size, starting from 185 / 60R14 and ending 265/45R21. Test dimension 225/50R17 on the Dunlop website is not detected.

In the official press release of the Japanese tire manufacturer, it is said that working out Dunlop SP Sport 01, engineers of the company sought to make a bus as quickly as possible, safe and quiet. To achieve their goals, they used a protector with an asymmetric pattern, separating the contact stain into three zones, according to three basic requirements. But today, the asymmetric pattern of the tread is used in the extremely large number of tires. The same design at Hankook Ventus Prime 2, Nokian Hakka Blue, Pirelli Cinturato P7, Continental ContipremiumContact 5, Michelin Pilot Sport 3, Goodyear EfficientGrip and many other tires. And they all very adequately behave on the road, although there is a couple of exceptions. So an asymmetrical drawing is the right choice?

Yes, undoubtedly! But on the other hand, there are tires with directional patterns that keep the road no worse asymmetric tires. For example, Vredestein Sportrac 3. The fact is that the most important component of the design of any modern tire is rubber mixtures. The use of the right mixtures, in the correct combination makes the tire extremely obedient, safe and projected. A strong manufacturer, a strong tire concern independently develops the necessary mixes. Make it is incredibly expensive, spending and hard. Therefore, secrets about mixtures have to be protected.

Well, how well do Dunlop engineers managed to apply mixtures with asymmetric pattern in the SP SPORT 01 model? The correct answer is very and very successful. Especially on the asphalt. On a flat, hard coating machine, shown in Dunlop SP Sport 01, rides exactly, understandable and quiet. At high speed reaction on the steering wheel, accurate, fast and timely. Brake path encouraging.

But you don't need to go into liquid dirt on Dunlop SP SPORT 01! Even if all-wheel drive SUV wish in them. Japanese tires are clearly not for Buerakov. Their habitat is a city or highway, and it is advisable to foreign, where there are no holes, junctions and bumps on the road ...

DUNLOP SP Sport Maxx RT2 test from German AUTO Motor Und Sport, held in 2017

In 2017, experts of the German publication Auto Motor Und Sport held a summer tire test of Dunlop Sport Max RT2 in the amount of 245/45 R18 and compared it with nine similar medium and premium tires.

Results of dough

According to the results of the Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2 test, it ranked ninth in general competition and received an expert assessment "recommended with restrictions". The tire medium showed itself on dry asphalt and showed the worst brake path and resistance to aquaplaning on wet asphalt.

DisciplineA placeComment
Dry asphalt braking6 The braking path of 1.3 meters is longer than that of the test leader.
Controlness on dry asphalt7 The average speed of the route is 3.1 km / h less than that of the test leader.
Brake on wet asphalt10 The worst result. The braking path is 5 meters longer than that of the test leader.
Handling on wet asphalt4-5 The time of circle is 0.9 seconds less than that of the test leader.
Side stability on wet asphalt7-8 Maximum side acceleration A 0.57 m / s2 is less than that of the test leader.
Stability to longitudinal aquaplaning9-10 The speed of "float" car comes 1.2 km / h less than that of the test leader.
Resistance to transverse aquaplaning3 The maximum side acceleration at the height in the puddle is 0.26 m / s2 less than that of the test leader.
Economy3 The coefficient of rolling resistance by 0.9 kg / tons is less than that of the test leader.
Noise6-10 The second result in the level of noise.

Feedback experts who spent the test:

On dry asphalt, clear and accurate reactions on the turns of the steering wheel, excellent handling. On wet asphalt weak side stability, long braking path, there is a tendency to low turning.

List of tested tires:

More than half of the world car tire market belongs to the giants, one of which is Michelin (Michelin). The French concern more than a hundred years old supplies to Europe, Russia and the rest of the world of high quality rubber, can only be compared with Bridgestone and Goodyear.

However, over the past couple of decades, less well-known players came to the market, but also in demand among consumers. Such is the British company Dunlop (Dunlop), implementing winter and summer tires for passenger cars. What tire is better? You can answer the question by conducting a comparative characteristic of both brands.

Criteria comparison

ATTENTION! Found a completely simple way to reduce fuel consumption! Do not believe? Auto mechanic with 15 years old also did not believe, until he tried. And now it saves 35,000 rubles per year in gasoline!

Manufacturers of automotive rubber provide quality of goods, paying special attention to the three characteristics (criteria):

  1. Clutch tires with expensive on wet surface.

It is reflected in the length of the brake path on the asphalt after the rain or snow; Rubber is estimated by an alpuric scale from A to F, and the first indicator is preferable. The length of the braking path in the car with the marking F on the tires will be 18 m more.

  1. Fuel efficiency.

It is determined by the minimum rolling resistance of the tire, denotes the scale from A to G. The smallest value has a rubber with marking "A", so the fuel consumption of the car with such tires will be more economical.

  1. External noise.

It is characterized by the volume of the touch of the tire with the road when driving. Quiet is considered rubber with rolling noise up to 60 dB, and loud - over 74 dB.

According to manufacturers, Michelin and Dunlop are equally good on a slippery road, significantly save fuel and make little noise when driving. For a more accurate assessment, it is more correct to resort to the reviews of real users and based on their opinions to draw up a common picture.

The main user tire quality parameters are considered:

  • mitigating the jolts and shocks transmitted to the suspension;
  • the minimum probability of skidding on a slippery road when driving at moderate speed;
  • providing good controllability - the ability of tires to respond quickly to the driver signals (turns of the steering wheel);
  • course and transverse stability (retaining the trajectory when driving in direct and on turns);
  • resistance to aquaplaning - the ability of rubber to divert the liquid from under the spot of the tire contact with the wet road;
  • resource (service life);
  • the cost of the kit.

Determine the advantages and disadvantages of MICHELIN and DUNLOP brands

Advantages and disadvantages of summer tires MICHELIN:

Since the names of the products of the French concern are several dozen, you need to consider summer and winter tires separately. Classic models for warm-time year are:

  • eNERGY (SAVER, SAVER +, XM 2) series is a budget option for commercial passenger cars;
  • Latitude - models for all-wheel drive vehicles, including top-class SUVs;
  • Pilot is an option for sports cars, also used on simple passenger cars in order to increase high-speed qualities;
  • Primacy is the most common model for passenger cars.

Based on the reviews of thousands of users who had experience driving on tires of the above-mentioned brands, the following advantages of tires Michelin are distinguished:

  • the presence on most channel models (from 1 to 3) through which the liquid is given;
  • considerable fuel economy (up to 2.5 liters per 1000 km);
  • modernized models better affect the mileage of the car, increasing it to 25%;
  • the form of the ribs of the tread allows you to increase the course stability (longitudinal and transverse);
  • confident clutch with an expensive on wet or icing coating (also concerns models without spikes);
  • on average, one set is enough for 30-40 thousand km of run;
  • when driving, high-speed characteristics are not reduced, and the behavior of the car on the road does not change;
  • effectively restrain the blow without transmitting it to the suspension;
  • almost imperceptible noise.

Alas, even a recognized French brand is not deprived of a number of shortcomings, among which:

  • increasing noise after a run on this rubber from 30 thousand km;
  • softening the tire after the same run;
  • in the first stages, the ride seems sufficiently rigid;
  • for 2-3 year old seasons, wear is observed (up to 1 mm);
  • part of the users noted that summer tires at a minus temperature immediately harden;
  • the relatively high cost of the kit (on average from 5 to 8 thousand rubles per tire).

Pros and cons of winter models

Now it is necessary to familiarize yourself with the benefits of using Mishalin winter rubber. These include:

  • excellent longitudinal and transverse stability;
  • braking becomes better, and the braking path is less;
  • the speed is gaining speed when driving on the road, abundantly covered with snow;
  • fuel consumption is practically unchanged compared to summer counterparts;
  • the wear of the studded rubber is not accelerating, even if the "shift" car in advance (2-3 weeks before the icing of the road) and ride on it on asphalt;
  • the first spikes begin to disappear from rubber only after 30 thousand km of mileage.

The disadvantages of the winter models of French tires should be considered:

  • noise (without it, because there are spikes);
  • as a consequence, the susceptibility of rubber to shocks (with a stone on a stone / sneeze in the hole);
  • also a big price for the kit.

In general, on the summer or winter tire collection, Michelin should pay attention to those users who value durability and confident maneuvering of their car on the track at any speeds. Also, the models are recommended by car owners with average sufficiency.

Michelin is recognized as one of the best brands. But shelves are coming on the heels, one of which is Dunlop. Read more about the advantages of this rubber - hereinafter.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Summer Tire Dunlop

The British Mark is represented by several names for the warm season, among which are most in demand:

  • SP SPORT;
  • Le Mans;
  • Direzza;
  • ENASAVE.

Undoubted pluses are:

  • sustainability on the dry road becomes better;
  • moderate softness, providing a soft and smooth movement, even at a speed of more than 100 km / h;
  • comfort passes bodies or pit;
  • the balancing requires the minimum number of weights;
  • efficient braking, but slightly deteriorating when ABS is triggered;
  • good aquaplaning with a calm ride in the city at a speed of up to 60 km / h;
  • some models (for example, SP SPORT 9000), even being used and having a 50% wear, roll back about 50 thousand km;
  • almost zero wear even after 2-3 seasons;
  • tires are among the most affordable (kits from 10,000 rubles).

From the disadvantages marked:

Pros and Cons Winter Tires Dunlop

To models operated at minus temperatures on slippery and snow-covered surfaces, belong:

  • SP Winter Ice;
  • GRASPIC;
  • Ice Touch;
  • Winter Maxx.

Pluses of winter rubber of the British manufacturer:

  • durability (the tires of the average price range serve as a minimum of 3 seasons);
  • ideal tires for a calm ride in winter;
  • middle mileage is 55 thousand km;
  • good longitudinal and transverse stability;
  • tortcation and braking on ice is excellent;
  • minimum wear even after 2-3 winters;
  • availability (the cheapest kits will cost 8-10 thousand rubles).
  • when starting from place to the slide behave badly;
  • models with spikes lose half of the metal inserts after 30 thousand km of run;
  • excess noise, audible even with closed windows;
  • winter models without spikes with sharp turns may be disgusting, leading the car into a skid;
  • too soft cord;
  • at speed above 80 km / h obviously felt bad clutch with the road.

Results of the mapping of tires DUNLOP and MICHELIN

In general, summer and winter products of both manufacturers meets high quality requirements and meets all international standards. A number of publications for motorists ("driving", "Autores" and others) were conducted by tire suitability for various conditions. Determine which surpasses the other, did not come out - both have been received by estimates 8.5 on a scale from 0 to 10. It is better than at Toyo or Nokian.

If the car owner requires high-quality summer tires, which would be optimally at speeds up to 100 km / h, were available at a price, effectively slowed down and served at least 2 seasons, it is worth paying attention to both brands - each of them will have to drive. Among the winter options is better than Michelin no - the French manufacturer collected less negative reviews about poor controllability, worsening the clutch and inadequate behavior of the CU with sharp turns.
