After that, we twist the drain plug and, using a funnel and a hose, fill in new liquid through the dipstick. You only need to pour exactly how much has flowed out of the box when replacing. Ideally, the oil level should be in the middle.
What's next?
Now the matter remains small. You need to start the engine and run the oil in the box. To do this faster, you can switch the automatic transmission modes several times with a delay of five seconds. Then we turn off the engine and once again check the liquid level on the dipstick. If it becomes less, we resume the level to the normal level.
About the filter
Many people believe that for a long and trouble-free operation of an automatic transmission, it is enough to change only the oil in it. But this is a delusion. Both the ATP liquid and the filter change. A two-layer felt element is installed on such boxes. It cannot be cleaned and is replaced entirely with a new one. Why is it so important? The fact is that a clogged filter can cause a drop in oil pressure in the box.

- If you want to completely get rid of the old lubricant and fill with new transmission oil, repeat these procedures 2-3 times. Only add no more than 1 liter of grease each time. So after the last run, completely clean oil will come out of the pipes, which does not have impurities or debris particles in its composition.
- Put the pipes back in place, insert the dipstick into the technological hole and check at what level the oil is. Top up if necessary.
- Install the dismantled elements, remove the car from the jack and drive a few kilometers using the automatic transmission. Make sure that all connections are sealed, the pallet gasket performs its functions efficiently and the box itself functions normally, without delays and extraneous noise.
- After a few days of machine operation, re-check the transmission fluid level in the Kia Rio box. It may fall a little, so be sure to add the missing amount of grease to the system.
