Racing with the most realistic damage. Hit the wall or three games with the best car damage system. Paradise City is waiting for you

Tell me, sometimes emotions boil so much inside that you want to take and smash everything around, blow up and simply destroy. Why vent your anger on interior items, throw out negativity on the people around you and your work colleagues, if for this there are such exciting flash games as Racing a Cool Car Around the City 3D! Let your feelings be fully released in the new arcade race, where any aggression has a place!

Would you like to ride a fast racing car without holding back your speed and without controlling your own actions? Don't limit yourself in anything. Take control of an unstoppable sports car, tearing apart all buildings, the city interior, throwing passers-by and passing cars to the sides. Destroy gas stations, making fantastic explosions, during which huge pillars of flame soar into the sky. Break walls, break through buildings, demolish bridges. There are simply no limits for you here! You can enjoy the game regardless of whether you have experience in racing car simulators. After all, masterful driving is not required to successfully complete missions. The main thing is to rush through the beautiful online city at your own pleasure, striking fear into the inhabitants of the metropolis.

There's no limit to coolness

As you may have guessed, in a dynamic racing arcade game the main task is to destroy buildings, cars and surrounding objects using a personal vehicle. For this purpose, multiple buildings are shown on the map. Here all the structures are made in such a way that they can be easily smashed to pieces.

Collect special symbols and coins scattered along the way. The latter will allow you to pump your car to the fullest: install a more powerful engine on it, improve control, increase speed, tune the body, making the car more resistant to damage. All this will provide an opportunity not to restrain yourself in your desires. Upgrading your car will allow you to collide with other drivers at breakneck speed, without thinking about the consequences, take sharp turns and drifts, and dodge heavy trucks that try to tear parts from your car.

Install the nitro system on your car and accelerate to cosmic speeds in a matter of seconds. Collect special icons to replenish the charge of the explosive mixture. This will allow you to always be one step ahead of your opponents.

Take the city apart brick by brick!

The hilarious and mind-bending road mayhem is extremely fun to play for free. In addition to driving around the city in free mode, you will be able to complete many missions. Some tasks are aimed at destroying a metropolis, others will allow you to fully experience what speed is.

As you complete missions, you will be able to receive many new, unique items. Try to collect as many of them as possible, because this will allow you not only to improve your own car without restrictions, but also to gain access to new, more powerful, destructive cars.

To achieve success in the story, it is enough to destroy as many surrounding objects as possible in the allotted time. At the same time, try to be careful. After all, uncontrolled collisions can damage your vehicle. Destroy everything around, but make sure that flames don’t start pouring out of your car, otherwise the car will explode and the game will be over for you.

Use special hardcore abilities

The game opens up a whole host of special opportunities for the player, which greatly facilitate the passage of even the most difficult tasks. For example, a remote explosion allows you to blow up surrounding buildings from a distance. This way, you can clear your path in advance and at the same time destroy the structure for which the destruction gives the most points.

In a casual arcade game, every second matters. If you don't have enough time to successfully complete a mission, collect clock-shaped icons. By adding even a few extra moments to your own limit, you can have time to create real chaos on city streets and cause catastrophic destruction.

Destroy everything around

In the game you will have to use the capabilities of your racing supercar at 100%. In order for the explosion to be massive, and everything around to burn and shine, you need not only to push aside passing cars that are trying to overtake you, but also to tear apart peacefully passing cars of city residents. Most of them are simply unlucky, because they ended up at the wrong time and in the wrong place.

The 3D arcade racing simulator will force gamers not only to ride around a huge city, but also to create more destruction in the required quantity. As soon as you drive into an oncoming car, it will instantly shatter into smithereens, allowing you to enjoy a dizzying explosion.

The chases with police cars are a particular pleasure during the gameplay. Run away from pursuit while destroying cars with flashing lights. Don't let law enforcement officers relax and breathe. After all, even if you stop for a split second, you face imprisonment and a long term behind bars.

Unique visual design

In terms of graphics and detail of the surrounding world, the narrative is absolutely not inferior to the best racing series of computer games. When you first get acquainted with the car simulator, it becomes noticeable that here the developers managed to fully raise the bar for visual design to a new, high-quality level, uncharacteristic of flash games. Moving objects have excellent dynamics, the picture is distinguished by contrast, saturation and a variety of colors and shades, which allows you to get real pleasure from the gaming process.

Start the car

Such a set of unique characteristics as high resolution, high-quality drawn objects, well-developed physics and game mechanics, along with the possibility of complete destruction of any objects and smooth animation - all this makes Cool Car Racing in the City 3D one of the best representatives in its genre!

Hello dear readers. The Gamebizclub team is in touch, and we continue to introduce you to games of different genres and show you those that are worthy of your attention and time. In past ratings, we compared and reviewed and others, and today we’ll talk about the best PC racing games that are ideal for children and adults.

While we were preparing this rating, one interesting detail came to light - several games under the same brand were able to climb into the top - Need for Speed, which means “Need for Speed” in Russian. If you look at the list, you will see as many as four games, and this is no coincidence.

The fact is that this series is considered by many racing fans to be the best for the entire existence of the genre. And it's the only racing game series on PC that has officially become an esports discipline like Dota 2 or Counter-Strike.

Today we will plunge into the world of roaring engines and powerful sports cars, we will drive along famous sports tracks and city streets, we will compete with other racers, we will “take our feet off” from police cars and find out which race is better. Meet our top 15 best races - starting from last place.

From this article you will learn:

15. Forza Horizon 3

Fifteenth place goes to Forza Horizon 3 - a very beautiful game with good physics, panoramic views and an open world. Just imagine - right now you can take an expensive car and go at full speed to conquer the most beautiful places in Australia. You will simply enjoy fast driving, leaving behind cities, towns, mountains and rivers, and at the same time compete with other racers.

  • Year of release: 2016.
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-3820 with a frequency of 3.6 GHz.
  • RAM: 12 GB.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD R9 290X.
  • Free hard disk space: 55 GB.

Forza Horizon 3 is a racing simulator with a completely open world. According to the plot, you act as the organizer of a major and prestigious racing festival, and at the same time its participant. All routine tasks are performed by assistants, and you will conquer the expanses of Australia with your skill, while choosing weather conditions, cars, tires and other little things that will eventually lead to victory.

In online mode, you can compete with up to 12 opponents simultaneously. And since the world is completely open, racers will be able to compete against you not only on the PC, but also on the Xbox One.

Forza Horizon 3 has many features that make it stand out from other similar games. There is no need to wait for the start of the race - you can clash with someone right on the track and arrange an online race. If you lose, you can change the car or take part in competitions, earn money and improve your car. In extreme cases, buy a buggy and drive across the sands if you are tired of the competition.

Forza Horizon 3 is fun to play alone or with friends. The gameplay and stunning views will give you a lot of unforgettable emotions and impressions. And we awarded the fifteenth place for completely draconian system requirements - for everything to work properly and not freeze, you need 12 GB of RAM and a good video card.

14 Race Driver: GRID

Fourteenth place goes to Race Driver: GRID, a classic racing game where you take on the role of a novice pilot. Your main task is to build a career, buy new models with the money you win and win, win, win. The career mode is designed quite simply: you are immediately introduced to the idea that the main task is to win, and money, repairs, tuning and everything else are the problem of the mechanic and manager.

  • Year of release: 2008.
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo with a frequency of 2.66 GHz or AMD Athlon X2 3800.
  • RAM: 2 GB.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 or AMD Radeon X1950 with 512 MB of memory and DirectX 10 support.
  • Free hard disk space: 13 GB.

In Race Driver: GRID you need to try to finish in the top three, trying to take first places and getting good fees. With the money received, it will be possible to purchase new car models in which you can participate in cooler and more advanced races. And if you don’t have enough finances to buy a new car, you will be offered to buy a used car - it’s a little cheaper, but it may be a little “killed”, that is, dented and with faults.

The developers (British company Codemasters) tried their best and introduced several features, due to which Race Driver: GRID entered our rating. Firstly, there are sponsors here who will definitely appear and place their logos on the car if you win. And secondly, you can organize a team, take teammates into it and send them into the race instead of you. Who knows, maybe they will do better.

We recommend Race Driver: GRID to those who are looking for racing games for weak PCs. The game has minimal requirements, good graphics and interesting gameplay components - the opportunity to build a career, receive not only moral but also material support from sponsors, choose symbols and hire a team to participate in competitions.

13. Test Drive Unlimited 2

We give thirteenth place to Test Drive Unlimited 2, an incredibly beautiful and worthy game about racing in Ibiza. When you start the game, you will feel that everything is happening in reality: the bright sun is gradually setting, then the first stars appear, and then night falls.

  • Year of release: 2011.
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo with a frequency of 2.2 GHz or AMD Athlon X2 4400+.
  • RAM: 2 GB.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280 or ATI Radeon HD 4870.
  • Free hard disk space: 14 GB.

In Test Drive Unlimited 2 you will take part in the Crown of the Sun competition, replacing the main racer who accidentally broke his leg in several places. In the role of the main character, an ordinary unemployed parking attendant whose appearance can be created at the very beginning, you will drive around Ibiza, win and lose.

The competitions themselves are quite standard, there is nothing surprising or extraordinary about them. But the sightseeing races are simply mesmerizing - hundreds of kilometers of roads, winding routes, panoramic landscapes. You won't notice the timer in the top corner counting down over an hour.

There are a lot of cars in Test Drive Unlimited 2 and they are divided into three classes - racing, SUVs and classic. You can simulate driving conditions and select what you like best: on the plain or off-road, on the coast or in the city, during the day, at night and other conditions.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 is not particularly surprising, but the game is in our top for its stunningly beautiful views and landscapes. It guarantees you a lot of pleasant impressions. For example, after an hour of playing I really want to go to the sea.

12. The Crew

We give twelfth place to The Crew - a very unusual race in which you lead a team of four friends. Each has its own story, but all are united by one goal - to win the American racing championship. To do this, they create a team and participate in competitions, traveling around US cities - New York, San Francisco, Miami and others. You will complete tasks, see the beautiful landscapes of the USA, be able to arrange an online race with friends and much more. But all these possibilities pale in comparison to the technical component.

  • Year of release: 2014.
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 with a frequency of 2.5 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 945 with a frequency of 3 GHz.
  • RAM: 8 GB.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 or AMD Radeon HD 6950.

The Crew seems to be created for those who like to tinker with hardware and assemble a racing car. Your car can literally be disassembled and reassembled piece by piece, install the necessary parts, boost the engine or lighten the design to achieve greater speed and controllability. Before each race, you can install weather-appropriate equipment, choose tires, a radar detector and much more, which will make your trip easier and help you escape from the police.

The graphics are on point - everything looks very realistic, cars break down, objects are destroyed. In general, everything is as it should be in real life.

The Crew is in twelfth place for its realistic graphics, amazing tuning capabilities and racing car decorations. Go ahead.

11. WRC 7

Eleventh place goes to WRC 7, a dynamic rally racing simulator. The game is available immediately on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and the quality of gameplay on all platforms is almost the same - it feels as if you were actually behind the wheel of a rally car, and the co-driver on the side shows you the way and comments on everything that is happening.

  • Released: 2017.
  • Processor: Intel Core i3 3 GHz or AMD FX 8150 3 GHz.
  • RAM: 8 GB.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 or AMD Radeon R9 290.
  • Free hard disk space: 19 GB.

WRC 7 is simply a classic rally car with a modern twist. You have to go through dozens of races in single-player mode, or immerse yourself in online racing and compete for the title of winner with other people. As the story progresses, new cars will become available to you, which are needed to gain access to cooler stages.

The main features of WRC 7 are realism and beautiful execution. To get the full experience, we recommend connecting a gaming steering wheel, but even without it, everything is just fine: the car flies along the track, damage is felt immediately, all the bumps and holes instantly change the trajectory of movement, so you constantly have to brake with the handbrake. Almost the same as in a real race.

WRC 7 is a relatively new game that has managed to implement the latest trends in image processing. Simply put, the picture on the screen is so beautiful that the landscape outside the car window is distracting and you can crash into a tree. However, sometimes everything becomes unrealistic, especially when the route takes place in snowy areas or in the rain. But these are all little things that pale in comparison to everything else. Connect the steering wheel, launch WRC 7 on a large monitor, and you are guaranteed a great mood.

10. Need for Speed: Underground 2

We give tenth place to Need for Speed: Underground 2, the best street racing game of all time, released more than 14 years ago. But despite this, the game is still relevant and very popular - many people play it to this day.

  • Year of release: 2004.
  • Processor: Intel Pentium 4 with a frequency of 2 GHz or AMD Athlon XP 2000+ with a frequency of 1.6 GHz.
  • RAM: 512 MB.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 6500 or ATI Radeon 9600.

Need for Speed: Underground 2 is street racing, drifting, tuning and other features that everyone has seen in films like “The Fast and the Furious”. You will find yourself in an open world and will freely drive and explore the night city of Bayview, explore 5 different districts and race with the most fearless pilots.

The plot develops around the stubborn and skillful racer Caleb Callan Race. In his role, you must work your way up from the very bottom to become the king of the night streets. In the game, almost all the races are organized by a pretty brunette named Rachel Teller, who accompanies the main character throughout the game. Auto mechanic Tommy is responsible for the amount of horsepower of the car and its aesthetic appearance.

You will take part in many races, which are globally divided into five types:

  1. Drag Racing - short distances where you compete in speed, using all the power of a forced engine, nitrous oxide, turbocharging and other racing gadgets.
  2. Ring – in these competitions you must complete a certain number of laps.
  3. Drift - this race will require you to have excellent car control in a skid.
  4. Street X is a competition between cars, on a winding track, where you need to earn points on sharp turns.
  5. Professional league - these races are the most difficult. In them you will show maximum car driving skills, since here you will have to compete with the best racers.

And if you want to relax from the intense driving, you can compete with simple racing cars right in the city, without any restrictions. There are also hidden races in the game, during the passage of which you can get more rewards compared to the usual ones.

The only negative, in our opinion, is that there are few police who do not prosecute violators. During the races, you will definitely not be disturbed, but when driving around the city, they may well begin to pursue. It’s up to you to decide whether this is a plus or a minus, but in our opinion it’s a flaw.

The main feature of Need for Speed: Underground 2 is a cool combination of an interesting story, intense gameplay and amazing options for tuning your car. You can make a real racing car that will literally tear apart rivals on the track ... Up to a certain point.

And a few more words about the graphics - it may seem old to some, but it is not the main advantage. You can still enjoy the fictional city and its sights detailed at that time, appreciate the smearing of landscapes during acceleration, and more.

NFS: Underground 2 is a game for all times. It even held championships and competitions, and this is one of the few races that has become a discipline in eSports. Its exciting atmosphere will draw you in for more than one hour, so we think this kind of game will remain on your computer for a long time, especially since it will run on weak and medium-sized PCs without problems.

9. TrackMania 2

We put TrackMania 2 in ninth place in the rating - super extreme racing with sharp turns and difficult tracks. The game has four themed episodes: Canyon, Stadium, Valley and Lagoon. You can try your hand at driving on mountain roads, gorges, islands and off-road. Rivals who need to be overtaken, despite the danger of the track, will also add interest.

  • Year of release: 2011.
  • Processor: 1.5 GHz.
  • RAM: 1 GB.
  • Video card: with 256 MB of memory, supporting DirectX 9.0c.
  • Free hard disk space: 2 GB.

In TrackMania 2 you will completely immerse yourself in the atmosphere of complex and dynamic races, take part in races on different tracks, perform stunts in various modes. This version of the game introduced drift, new maps, as well as multiplayer modes - “Race Against Time”, “Circle Race”, “Stunts”, “Cup”, “Team” and “Round”. As in other games of this genre, your main task is to break records, earn points and medals.

Ninth place for TrackMania 2 - for the ability to create your own roads, unrealistic speed, huge competition on the track in single-player mode, and even cooler races in the game online.

8. DiRT 4

We decided to give eighth place to DiRT 4 – a dynamic rally racing game that you can play for days on end. Here everything is almost like in real off-road racing - flying dirt from under the wheels, sharp turns, a co-driver muttering into the microphone and telling the way.

  • Released: 2017.
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4690 or AMD FX 8320.
  • RAM: 8 GB.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 or AMD R9 390.

DiRT 4 is a game created in full accordance with the rally racing genre. As the main racer, you will have to go through a huge number of challenges with a co-driver in the next seat. Winding roads, terrible weather conditions, abysses along the edges of the roads - all this will not only disturb you, but will also affect the performance of the car. Damage to cars is reflected not only visually, but with it your car will behave as befits a crumpled piece of iron.

The whole point of the game is in the feelings and drive that perhaps one of the most hardcore types of racing gives - rally. The driver here has to drive the car off-road, dodge rocks or enter the forest, and all this at high speed, and sometimes blindly. Fog, night, dust from under the wheels of rivals, forced to enter the turns, focusing only on the voice of the navigator.

In DiRT 4, you can adjust the difficulty of passing, set the optimal control settings and connect the steering wheel. All this, together with stunning graphics, will truly take you to the race track.

The only thing that, in our opinion, DiRT 4 lacks is the sharpness of the plot. Perhaps the plot is not the main thing here, but for this, as well as for the high system requirements for the PC, we could not give the game higher than 8th place. Go ahead.

7. Driver: San Francisco

Next on our list is Driver: San Francisco, a slightly outdated but still relevant police chase game. And here you will participate not in the role of a bully, who is being chased by the police, but in the role of the policeman himself.

  • Year of release: 2011.
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 with a frequency of 2.4 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 620 with a frequency of 2.6 GHz.
  • RAM: 2 GB.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 430 or ATI Radeon HD 5650 with 1 GB of memory.
  • Free hard disk space: 10 GB.

The plot of the game tells about a policeman named John Tanner, who caught the main villain of San Francisco named Charles Jericho. But as a result of a “dramatic plot twist”, Jericho was freed and Tanner was in a coma. You will find yourself in the role of Tanner, and, without waking up from a coma, you will chase criminals in cars.

Oddly enough, you can't get out of the car. But if the car is broken down and cannot drive, you can temporarily “move” into the body of another policeman and control it. You must, without waking up from a coma, catch the main villain, helping your partners from the police station with all your “soul.” At first you will explore a small part of San Francisco, but after a while the whole city will become available to you.

The main feature of Driver: San Francisco is the opportunity to try yourself as a police officer. Add to this an interesting plot with lots of dialogue, cool cars and exciting races - you get a very interesting and exciting game. In addition, there are many soundtracks that are suitable for a specific moment and the graphics are not bad even by today’s standards.

6.Split/Second

In sixth place is Split/Second – a game about gladiator fights in powerful cars, where there is no place for losers. The game stands out from the crowd of “just racing” games with its unusual gameplay, original idea and equally original execution.

  • Year of release: 2010.
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo with a frequency of 3 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 with a frequency of 2.4 GHz.
  • RAM: 3 GB.
  • Video card: with 512 MB of memory, supporting DirectX 9.0c.
  • Free hard disk space: 7 GB.

In Split/Second you will take part in gladiator battles in cars. Using deadly traps and choosing the most correct strategy, you will enter the fight for life. Each section of the track must be completed with maximum concentration, because a carelessly taken turn or loss of control over the car during a skid will turn your car into a pile of iron.

The game's plot revolves around a TV show in which, like the movie Death Race, racers must fight throughout the season to win the main prize - life and freedom. All competitions take place in a separate city with a wide variety of traps that participants use to eliminate their opponents.

Split/Second is a Quake from the world of racing. Here you need to know every corner of the map in order to build the most insidious and timely traps for the enemy. Unlike the “classics of the genre,” being first here is not always good, because all the rivals that are behind can easily knock over a nearby television tower or something else onto your hood.

At the very beginning, Split Second looks like a kind of chaos and anarchy, but then it’s difficult to tear yourself away from the game. A dynamic plot, an original idea and fiery gameplay - for this we award the game sixth place. And let's move on to the top five.

5. Need for Speed: The Run

The top five opens with Need for Speed: The Run - a continuation of the classic Need for Speed genre about the longest multi-day race from San Francisco to New York. But, unlike the previous parts, there is a storyline with action elements - the main character can get out of the car, carry out tasks and participate in the development of the plot.

  • Year of release: 2011.
  • Processor: Intel Core i3-540 or AMD Phenom II X4 805.
  • RAM: 4 GB.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 or ATI Radeon HD 6950.
  • Free hard disk space: 18 GB.

You will find yourself in the main role of a character named Jack. He owed money to the mafia and was caught, but he escaped and, with the help of his girlfriend Sam, managed to negotiate a participation in an extended race for prize money of 25 million dollars. Thus began his path to victory and a better life.

Need for Speed: The Run consists of many races in different locations, striking in the changing landscapes. You will have a long race through known and unknown corners of the states through which the race passes. It will be quite difficult to get used to this, which only adds to the adrenaline - along the way you will find yourself on sandy roads, ice or terrible rain, you will be chased by police cars, your car will break down, and in general a lot of things will happen.

If you lose control and wreck your car, a new feature has been introduced into the game: instead of being “reborn”, you can turn back time. The justification for such an experiment with gameplay, unfortunately, is not entirely clear - you will just be transported to the beginning of the previous checkpoint. If it was long enough, such a return may not be very pleasant.

Need for Speed: The Run is like the black sheep among the NFS games. There is room for intense racing, stunning scenery, an exciting storyline and action away from your car. At first you pay attention to small flaws in the form of not very comfortable controllability and straightforwardness of the game, but then this fades into the background. The main thing is excellent graphics, dynamic and exciting races and everything is as it should be. This is why we love NFS.

4. F1 2017

An honorable fourth place goes to F1 2017, the coolest version of Royal Racing, available immediately on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. There have been many games about Formula 1, but this one is the best race of all that exists at the time of the release of the rating.

  • Released: 2017.
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 4690 or AMD FX 8320.
  • RAM: 8 GB.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD RX 480.
  • Free hard disk space: 40 GB.

F1 2017 is classic Formula 1, no more and no less. At the beginning of the game you have to create your character, choose a team, and then go out onto the track and take your place on the podium. But winning is not so easy - the opponents do not sleep and are also struggling to reach the finish line. Therefore, for better handling and cool sensations, buy yourself a gaming steering wheel and install a large monitor - feel like Lewis Hamilton or Sebastian Vettel.

With each victory you will earn money, which you can use to buy new cars. Using a new F1 car, you will be able to participate in more prestigious races, then gradually reach the top league and compete with the most famous and titled pilots.

The main feature of F1 2017 is its excellent physics. The behavior of a car is influenced by many factors: the type of suspension and tires, weather, track, precipitation, even air humidity and much more. And the variety of cars is breathtaking - each car is unique, with its own advantages and disadvantages.

This is all the magic of Formula 1 - maximum realism and dynamics, powerful cars, a minimum of invented stories. What else do fans of this sport need? There is even a network mode. You can compete with friends or other people, find out who is cooler on the track, and who will overtake everyone here. A must have for all fans of the Royal Races and more. Let's move on to the top three.

3. Need for Speed Rivals

Bronze goes to Need for Speed Rivals - a furious race against the police or after violators, depending on how you look at it. If you want to drive cool cars on smooth roads and long routes, this game is what you need.

  • Year of release: 2013.
  • RAM: 8 GB.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7870 with 3 GB of memory.
  • Free hard disk space: 30 GB.

According to the plot, you will find yourself in the role of a street racer or a police officer. Each has advantages and disadvantages, its own types of cars, special techniques and much more. As a racer, you will compete with other street racers in the city, escape from the police and smash patrol crews, ram special forces trucks and defeat special agents. And as a policeman, you will do your best to pursue violators, throw spikes on the road, block the highway and much more.

Need for Speed Rivals is a racing game with car tuning and an open world. There are many different places on the map with tasks for police and street racers, competitions and races. In the garage you can hide from pursuit and upgrade your swallow a little. And if you win a lot, you will gradually get new opportunities and become the best guy on the block.

Need for Speed Rivals is a completely new level of racing, which was achieved through the Frostbite 3 engine. The same engine is used in Battlefield 3 and newer games - it shows a very high degree of realism along with detailed graphics and rendering. That’s why all the cars look very cool, as if they were “pulled out” of the interior and sent to the track.

Need for Speed Rivals is an open world full of adventure and adrenaline. Once again, we recommend taking the wheel and connecting a large monitor to enjoy the incredible sensations in single-player and online mode.

2. Project CARS 2

  • Released: 2017.
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-6700K @ 4 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X @ 4 GHz.
  • RAM: 16 GB.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 or AMD Radeon RX 480.
  • Free hard disk space: 50 GB.

In Project CARS 2 you will find yourself in the role of a pilot who has signed a contract to participate in sports car racing. At first you will start competing with other pilots in almost ordinary cars, but then... Exciting challenges, championships, work with sponsors, sports cars recreated to the smallest detail and exciting tracks await you.

There is almost no plot in the game - Project CARS 2 is only about racing, powerful racing cars, breathtaking tracks. And everything looks almost like in real life, and it feels as if you actually found yourself behind the wheel of a racing car on a very difficult track. And instead of a plot, you have 182 sports cars of different makes and models, 46 tracks with different weather conditions, stubborn rivals and fierce confrontation on the track.

The main thing in Project CARS 2 is realistic control, car dynamics and its behavior on the road in different weather conditions. In rain or ice, the car handles worse, corners are also taken differently, in collisions damage is visible and controllability immediately decreases. In general, everything is like in life.

The only drawback is the high requirements for the computer; the game has the best graphics you've ever seen before. All this realism, dynamics and drawing require a powerful video card and processor, and a lot of RAM. But if you have no problems with this, and also a large monitor and even a steering wheel, you will fall in love with this amazing game immediately after launch. After all, sports cars are truly gorgeous.

1. Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012)

The gold of our rating goes to Need for Speed: Most Wanted - the second edition of the original game, released in 2012, in a new wrapper and with a bunch of all sorts of tricks. Let's say right away that our choice is ambiguous and someone may not understand it - after all, the new part does not have many of the features that made millions of people around the world literally fall in love with the original game.

  • Year of release: 2012.
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad with a frequency of 2.66 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 with a frequency of 3 GHz.
  • RAM: 4 GB.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 or ATI Radeon HD 6950 with 1 GB of memory.
  • Free hard disk space: 20 GB.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) is about illegal racing (street racing), escaping from the police in cool cars, and competing with other “night racers.” There is practically no plot, there are no main characters and villains, even the police do not stand out in any way. But all this is not necessary - you will start fighting for the title of the best street racer in the city, take part in many races, run away from the police, and so on. Almost everything is as it should be.

Let us immediately note that there is almost no tuning in the game. If in the original part of 2005 it was possible to literally assemble a car and configure literally everything in it, then in this part there are no such opportunities.

You can repair the car and change the coloring by going to the garage and adding additional parts. But there is no need to tune anything - each car is already fully charged. Therefore, instead of simply grinding dollars and buying spare parts and consumables, you can completely focus on racing. Yes, you won’t be able to install a cool spoiler and alloy wheels that you like. But even without them, your car will look very cool. And if you get tired of the car, challenge other racers to a duel, win and their car will go to you.

The basis of the game is not only constant racing, but also competition with the police. And the cops are fierce here: they interfere right in the middle of the race and start ramming, throwing spikes under the wheels and doing all sorts of dirty tricks, while the rivals break away and fly to the finish line. To break away from the chase, they usually use springboards or various obstacles, go into the garage and repaint the car, but sometimes this is not possible. And then you will see the magical inscription - “Spent”.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) is a true open world, just like many people love. You can simply drive along the city streets, look at everything properly and take part in random events, complete non-obvious but intriguing tasks, for example, knock down billboards or find hidden cars. And during the race you can easily turn off the right road and get lost in the streets or outside the city - this is really discouraging. And only a GPS navigator will show you how to get back on the road. True, this is unlikely to help - your opponents will move forward very quickly and you will no longer be able to catch up with them.

The only thing that still upsets me is that this is no longer the same game from 2005 that we all loved. Not that “Eron-don-don”, with an incredibly attractive and exciting atmosphere. It’s a pity, if you combine the atmosphere and capabilities of Most Wanted 2005 and the graphics and dynamism of Most Wanted 2012, you would get a masterpiece for all time.

Let's sum it up

We wanted to add more games to the rating. Some remembered the epic Carmageddon and FlatOut, others remembered the Colin McRae Rally, but the choice was made and, in our opinion, it turned out very well. Let us note that the top best did not include Russian races - we do not have such good games as to compete on equal terms with Western ones.

All games are different, and we are sure that you will find one that suits your taste. If in doubt, watch videos on YouTube and evaluate the quality of the gameplay, and only then buy the game. My only wish is to find a large monitor and connect the steering wheel so that the realism goes off scale. It’s a very cool feeling to look at a beautiful and powerful car, drive it and feel all the turns and collisions, live the race and be like a real sports car pilot. Unlike real racing, it's safe and feels much the same.

Hot Lava is an excellent first-person action game that borrows a popular pastime from childhood, in which we fantasized that there was lava on the ground and we needed to get to the desired goal. Everything is extremely simple, you can’t fall into the lava! To do this, jump, climb, slide along walls, use parkour elements and various ledges and objects. Although the idea of the game is quite primitive, the gameplay, graphics, music and interesting levels are still addictive and show that they really worked hard on the game.

Version 1.33.0

Turbo Dismount is an arcade game based on the physical behavior of various elements. You need to put little people in various vehicles and perform the most dangerous stunts. Choose a truck, car, motorcycle or even a bicycle and put a special person in it. Your task is to inflict as much damage on the man as possible. The more he suffers, the more points you get. The graphics are cartoon style and look fun. Good voice acting and a variety of levels will not make you bored. It is also possible to create levels yourself. The game Wrench will allow you to quickly and with interest understand the principles of how cars work. Stunning graphics will make you believe that you are dismantling a real car.

Horizon Chase Turbo is a racing arcade game made in the best traditions of the 80s and 90s. Realistic physics, graphics, damage system - all this was not present in old racing games, but nevertheless they gave a lot of positive emotions and seriously introduced excitement from the start to the finish. Horizon Chase Turbo is an attempt to bring back the spirit of those old arcade racing games that had their own unique charm. In the game you will find almost a hundred tracks in more than 20 cities around the world, 16 unlockable cars and even the possibility of pumping them.

Led It Rain can hardly be called a masterpiece or even a good game, but, nevertheless, due to an unusual idea, you can devote a little time to it. This is a first-person shooter where you move only on a motorcycle. At this stage of development, several tracks are already waiting for you. All you have to do is ride your motorbike, shoot monsters and kiss girls in bikinis. According to the description, it may seem that this is trash beyond reason, do not worry, everything is exactly the way it is in reality.

WRC 8 FIA World Rally Championship is a new part of one of the most advanced rally racing simulators. In the new part, the developers completely changed the physics that works on the new engine. Now the behavior of the car has become even more realistic and changes depending on the road surface, environmental conditions and vehicle characteristics. If you go to the numbers, then you will find 50 teams, 14 countries, 100 tracks and the latest car models from famous brands.

Distance is an arcade racing game made in the style of the famous film Tron. The little-known but ambitious Refract Studios is working on the game. The developers promise you adrenaline racing at breakneck speeds, in which the participants go to any tricks, just to win. Unusual graphics look great at high speeds, and insane tracks make you do the most crazy things. If you are tired of the usual races, then we advise you to play the game Distance.

What if you combine incompatible things? What do you get if you combine car racing and football? The result is an exciting game of “Rocket League”! You will be able to drive a powerful car on a large playing field. Your task is to score the ball into the opponent's goal. You will have to do this using your car. Performing the most dangerous stunts, you will compete with other racers who will also try to score the ball into your goal. The one who scores more goals will win. Network play will allow you to connect up to 8 players, thereby making the game 4 on 4. You can choose from a huge number of different cars with the possibility of tuning. You will also find various tracks, each of which has its own characteristics that you need to get used to.

Monster Jam Steel Titans is a simulator of monster trucks in which you will participate in races and also perform various stunts in special arenas. If you love real power, if you are crazy and regular racing no longer excites you, then download the Monster Jam Steel Titans game and ride a real monster to prove to everyone that you are the best! Perform a variety of tricks (body bending, breaking cars, doing somersaults, jumps, moonwalks, stoppies, wheelies, donuts and much more) to win the love of the audience.

The most serious racing simulator on the list. No amateur performances - only licensed, laser-scanned tracks, only real cars, only gameplay and only the view from behind the wheel (with support for VR devices).

iRacing is an expensive, but high-quality pleasure. The game can be called, rather, a closed racing club, where gamers compete with each other, share experiences and help in setting up virtual machines. There are even regular championships with cash prizes of ten thousand dollars. If you not only love, but live for racing, then iRacing is just what you need.

2. rFactor duology

Car simulators that are constantly in full swing: both game makers and modders are hard at work on new content and realistic gameplay mechanics. The level of performance is so high that rFactor games even have real racers training.

Why is the franchise so attractive for professionals? For example, a reliable simulation of the thermal conductivity of tires: the rubber overheats, sticks to the asphalt, forming bumps on the road, and loses traction. And this is just one example of the realism of the game. Also, do not forget about the large number of tracks and cars, which are becoming more and more thanks to the creativity of enthusiasts.

3. Assetto Corsa

The studio's office for the developers of this game is located near the Italian Valelunga race track. This gave the authors the opportunity not only to regularly enjoy beautiful cars and watch exciting races, but also to test the cars and copy all the track irregularities as accurately as possible (laser scanning technology was used for this).

Assetto Corsa perfectly captures the characteristics of racing cars, and the driving is done at a very realistic level - right down to the possibility of burning out the clutch and brakes from careless behavior on the road. However, it is not without its drawbacks: for example, the career is a loosely connected set of races, and the base version of the game contains quite a bit of content. But at the same time, the minuses of the project are balanced by the above-mentioned pluses.

4. Forza Motorsport 7

The gameplay of the project also does not disappoint: the cars roar with engines, rush along the tracks, skid and crumple beautifully during collisions - with corresponding consequences for components. The difference in control when choosing different cars is felt instantly; the same applies to different weather conditions. Add to this a huge fleet (700 cars), many modes and exciting multiplayer - and you get one of the best racing games of 2017.

5. Live for Speed

A racing simulator that has been in development for a decade and a half, which stands out for its reliable and meticulous modeling of car behavior on the road, including realistic suspension operation, tire heating, calculation of damage to various car components, and so on. Over the years of the project's existence, an impressive community has gathered around it, which partially contributes to its development.

Live for Speed can be downloaded absolutely free from the official website. Of course, the base game only contains a fraction of the content available in it, and you'll have to shell out some cash to unlock all the cars and tracks.

6. F1 Series

A franchise dedicated exclusively to racing "". But do not think that it will disappoint you with a small amount of content: there are more than enough different modes, tracks, cars and interesting gameplay mechanics. A career allows you to develop your own team, and additional modes provide the opportunity to conquer the legendary cars of the Royal Races.

As for the gameplay, everything is fine with it too. improves the series year after year, so every release of the F1 series delights gamers with a realistic driving model, smart rivals and significant differences between the cars.

7. DiRT Rally

A hardcore rally simulator that stands out among other “pop” games. Here gamers will have to fight with two difficulties: tracks and time. The first ones are very narrow and often contain different types of surfaces: asphalt gives way to gravel, then, and it’s also good if you don’t go out on the road in rain or ice. The second forces the driver to constantly rush, to drive as fast as possible in order to show the best result.

While DiRT 2, 3, 4 and Showdown entertain the player, allowing you to set the difficulty level to an easy level and enjoy driving through picturesque locations, DiRT Rally literally squeezes you dry, forcing you to cling to and closely monitor the road. You shouldn't play this game, let alone with a keyboard - even with; Success in rally racing can only be achieved if you have a gaming steering wheel. However, this applies to all projects from this collection.

8. Dilogy Project CARS

An ambitious car simulator, money for the development of which was raised “by the whole world” - through crowdfunding. The developers took the engine from Need for Speed: Shift, rewrote the physics model, added dynamic changes in time of day and weather, and paid careful attention to the realism of the gameplay. Alas, not everything turned out smoothly, but the game cannot be called a failure either.

The sequel was developed with the support of the publisher, and here the authors tried to correct all the mistakes made in the first part: the career became more interesting, the physics became more reliable, but at the same time the complexity of driving cars increased. And this car sim is probably made with the most realistic graphics among competitors in the genre: in terms of visual component, Project CARS 2 can only compete with Forza Motorsport 7.

9. Duology Need for Speed: Shift

Need for Speed is a racing series that has probably undergone the largest number of innovations and experiments. The Shift duology, authored by Slightly Mad Studios (also responsible for Project CARS and World of Speed), represents the publisher’s attempt to take the franchise on the path of realism (after two games, the attempts were abandoned, and NfS games returned to the usual arcade style).

Need for Speed: Shift and Shift 2: Unleashed, like the previous item on the list, cannot be called the most realistic simulator - yet the developers had to make some simplifications for the sake of entertainment. But in some ways the duology stood out from its competitors - for example, a well-realized view from the driver’s helmet, which reliably conveyed overloads during acceleration, as well as a system of rewarding the player for clean or aggressive driving.

10 Race Driver: GRID

An excellent game, which, however, cannot be considered a purebred car simulator - rather, it is a simulator that forces gamers to drive carefully, but at the same time forgives minor mistakes and even allows you to rewind time after a serious accident (in fact, this project popularized the mechanics of “flashbacks”, which is present in many racing games today).

11. Dakar 18

A rally simulator that will take you through the off-road terrain of South America, where you will deal with difficult terrain and adverse weather conditions, overcome water obstacles and quickly repair breakdowns of your SUV, or - depending on what vehicle you choose for the race.

The project developers tried to make the gameplay as realistic as possible. However, Dakar 18 does not pretend to be the most hardcore simulator: the difficulty can be adjusted so that the game is interesting for gamers, and the physics and damage model are slightly let down. However, it is quite a tense and racing game that can provide a challenge.

12. NASCAR Heat Series

A line of games officially licensed by NASCAR circuit racing. Obviously, you shouldn’t expect much variety from it, but for those who are “in the know,” the franchise can give a lot of positive emotions.

The latest game in the series, NASCAR Heat 4, became its best release according to players. The developers have worked hard on the physics and behavior of the AI, and the controls are adapted for gamepads, steering wheels and keyboards. Perhaps in some of its aspects it is not as realistic as it could be, but still it is a worthy representative of its genre.

13. RIDE 3

Motorcycle racing that will delight players with a large selection of bikes, tracks and rich opportunities. The authors implemented reliable physics and controls, added a huge number of motorcycles to the game - more than 230 models, and also diversified the gameplay with career and multiplayer modes. If you're looking for a good motorcycle racing simulator, then RIDE 3 is perhaps the best available in the genre today.

14.MotoGP19

A game dedicated to the motorcycle racing world championship: you will find numerous competitions, a variety of tracks, and the opportunity to try on the role of a competition organizer. Character customization allows you to create unique designs, and a detailed career will take you along the difficult path to the champion title. All this is crowned with beautiful graphics, but you have to pay for the picture - the game’s “appetite” for a PC configuration cannot be called modest.

15. FIA European Truck Racing Championship

A representative of a rare genre of truck racing, which invites players to try themselves in driving five-ton vehicles on difficult tracks. There are many factors to consider, from truck weight to brake temperature to tire wear, and your local garage has a variety of models to choose from from top manufacturers. Beautiful, moderately realistic and exciting game.

Also worthy of attention: Colin McRae Rally (the first editions of the series), Richard Burns Rally, Grand Prix Legends, Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed, TOCA Race Driver series, RaceRoom Racing Experience, Forza Motorsport: Apex, Race 07, Spintires: Mudrunner

In computer racing, the most important thing is the time during which you will complete any stage of the competition. But not all car games offer the ability to fine-tune sports cars. After all, many players would like to upgrade many parts of the car in order, for example, to improve their lap time by 0.3 seconds. Fortunately, there are realistic racing simulators that have extensive capabilities that bring us closer to real racing.

We also did not include in our review of the best car simulators those games that have not yet been released for free sale, although video teasers for some new games have already appeared on the Internet. For example, the game Project CARS, which is still in alpha testing.

Some games, despite their positioning as car simulators, are not worthy of being on our list, since the quality of the reality does not meet modern requirements for computer games.

8) Gran Turismo 5

Gran Turismo is a more realistic alternative to the game Forza 4. The implementation of sports tracks is much better than its main console competitor.

7) Grand Prix Legend

It's not just a game where you start playing and get into an accident on the first corner. This is exactly the game in which you will have an accident for the first week at the first turn. When you really learn how to drive a powerful car, you will be able to participate in professional realistic races. This is one of the best racing simulators. Plus, updates have recently been released that not only improved the game engine, but made many experts take a different look at the game, which was first released 14 years ago.

6) Richard Burns Rally

Do you want a realistic rally simulator? RBR is one of the best. It is noteworthy that this game is not demanding on computer resources and is able to work even on older PCs.

5) F1 Series

It is insanely hard to play this game, but if you gain enough experience, you will be able to appreciate the quality of the engine, with which you can feel the downforce of racing cars combined with real power.

4) Simraceway

The most developed racing simulator game in the computer world. The game has an online community on the Internet, which consists of a huge number of players.

Race in a straight line for 400 meters. Ariel Atom V8, BMW HP4 Superbike and Citroen DS3 Rallycross, who is faster? Video

3) Live For Speed

To learn how to drive a car in Live For Speed, you need to make a lot of effort. But after the necessary skills are gained, any fan of car simulators will appreciate the idea of the developers. The game has a large selection of cars with powerful engines.

2) rFactor2

The game is currently undergoing beta testing. But it is already clear that the developers managed to bring the graphics and engine closer to reality. Amazingly beautiful and high-quality racing game. Plus the most anticipated in the world. The previous version also looks decent compared to its many competitors.

24 Hours of Le Mans in black and white

1) iRacing

This simulator is often used by professional racers. The tracks that are in the game are real tracks that have been scanned in high quality with a laser. Incredible realistic car physics. If you seriously want to feel what real racing on powerful cars is like, then the iRacing simulator should be the best choice.
